  1. The Senna movie is hard to follow only because of the language barrier. He's just a legend, one of the greats. I could go on all day & night.

There is nothing at all hard to follow, what are you on about.

It is a terrific documentary, even my wife was glued to it and she knows nothing about cars of F1.

  2. Healthcare benefits for me (which also covers my family) costs my employer about US$1300 a month, so that gives you an idea of what these benefits cost an employer here.

These people are distribution centre workers, and to be fair, are unskilled anyway. I can completely understand why the employer would not want to pay benefits. It is a sad reality, but it is also rare for low skilled positions to also get healthcare benefits provided by your employer. At best the costs are partially subsidised by the employer.

Most of the workers are probably earning under US$30k a year anyway, so why would an employer be willing to spend 1/2 as much again on health insurance.

  3. Unless you guys are actually homosexual, witch is good for you if you are, pay rights for dikes and all that, I really doubt you would say no, in fact I bet you would have a Charlie Sheen tribute party in your pants.

English is a good language, try using it.

The answer is no, no Charlie Sheen here!

Again, the answer is still no!

  4. Easy to police Jon - simply include third party as requirement in registration. Then - no rego - car off the the road - no questions!

That's how it is here! I think it is a good rule.

To the original poster, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear that.

  5. We have an active group of tech minded friends working in various parts of the IT industry, this has become very very common.

One of this group got called so he made the most of it, he stalled the guy on the phone for a good 25min while he installed a fresh install of Windows XP into a virtual machine, he then proceeded to let this guy in and spent the next two hours logging everything the guy did, he took periodic snapshots of the system as he went just to screw with the guy so things this Indian did could be reversed in a few seconds.

i.e, when he declined / refused to purchase a support plan off them, using their remote access to his virtual machine they wiped all his info... which he returned a few min later.

So brand new install of Windows and this scammer is running through his procedure to show him he has a virus, installs a few tools onto the computer, runs some basic DOS Scripts to make it look like the computer is scanning the machine and cleaning stuff off.

We obtained a whole lot of information and ended up getting their payment site blocked by NZ ISPs for a few days till they switched hosts / DNS servers.

End result is this fella wasted many many hours of these scammers time and was a giant pain in the ass to them.

Sounds easier to just tell them to f**k off and hang up.
