Selling my 2000 E46 328i. Going overseas soon so this has to go. Has done 157K. Clean and tidy condition. Only know issues that may need replacing/fixing is the oil level sensor and hazard light not working. On trademe for $7400 but selling it here for $6900. Give me a yell if any one is interested. Thanks

Any ideas what could cause hazard/emergency lights to stop working. I've already tried replacing the switch but no luck. central locking switch works as well as both indicator lights

Planned to get oem aerial but ended up with this from supercheap
pretty much looks oem. No problems so far

Ray is selling this manual 325i-SE on TM at the moment, if it was a different colour I would be half tempted.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=614351851
The last Auto NZ new 325i-SE I looked at last year was $2.5k and was quite mint, so I would expect an auto to go for between 2 and 4 k depending on spec, the fact yours has an LSD is an upside but being an import will devalue it for a lot of people who will be spending top dollar in such a car.
It comes down to the buyer though, the calypso red 325i-SE manual with Lether I wanted a couple of years back sold for close to 13k, was mint, NZ new one owner with less than 100k on the clock though, possibly NZ's best SE. I was left with my 10k wad in my hand and blue balls.
So in short. f**k knows what they are worth.
Hope this was of no help.
Good point!

I got $7500 for mine in November last year. manual, lsd etc but had 250 000kms. take really good photos and hope the right buyer comes along
Thanks. Almost forgot to mentioned the lsd diff

Pics, specs, whats been done, what needs to be done.
But to be honest. You will be lucky if you get $4 to $5K
Geez, might as well sell it for parts
Or take out all the good stuff sell it

any idea on the price?

Short answer, no it's not worth it!
I had the same thought with a WRX i had a few years ago, after insurance, transport costs, 10% Australian GST valuation tax, customs tax 5% and i may be wrong but i think certain brands qualify for a luxury brand tax as well your friend could be looking at $5-7k for a car worth about the same!
I bit the bullet and left the car in storage and bought a late model (01) SS Commodore for $5k (they're cheap as chips) and then flicked on when i left a year late only losing $500
Yeah, he was quoted by Taurus Logistics in oz, NZ$4058 which includes shipping, duty and GST. At the rate the market is going, he might still be able to sell it here around 7-8K. With these figures, I think he's better off selling the car
-
Just wanted to know if anyone or any one knew someone that has actually done it. Asking this for a mate who's moving to oz soon and plans to bring his beloved E46. He owns a 2001 E46 328i and apparently the cheapest he could find from Australia is around AU$ 12,000 (2000 E46 328i) with a mileage of 185,000km.

I'm aware the re-sale value of E46 has gone down here in NZ over the years but he has already put so much work on his car and might consider shipping it depending on the cost, taxes, etc.
Bottom line is....is it worth it???

Looking for a cheap 4 spoke standard steering wheel and bottle cap wheels preferably with good tyres
-
Looking for a good condition driver side front guard. Also, would any one have a rough idea on the cost to paint the front guard?

New Dash Mat for an E30.
$105 for BS members

Have the same problem, faulty speedo but my mine is reading 10kms over the actual. Took the speedo needle off and put it back about half an inch before the zero mark. All good now but still a temporary fix until I get a decent speedo
-
I just had 7 large boxes including a set of 18x9 wheels via kiwishipping for $140NZD.
So good.
How long did take?

Hey Grant, you can imagime Ray carrying out the groceries for little old ladies for 8 years, then 8 years later she gives him call to look after her car.
Magical !
must be a BMW fairy godmother in disguised

Just lodged a complaint to the commerce commission. At this stage, getting my money back is just a secondary thing now. The main thing is to teach these guys a lesson to avoid others being victimized. Clear breach of the Fair trade act.
-
If Trademe can't help with a refund, will probably file a complaint to the commerce commission. Hopefully my case is valid enough to teach these clowns a lesson
-
Yeah I wouldn't personally deal with that sort of crowd tbh.
I remember they used to be in Ellerslie with broken BMWs in the forecourt to their shop, not the best of looks.
I think Ray or Brent has pretty much all the parts anyone would need. If not Ebay / Pelican Parts.

Was just tempted to click buy now. $100 buy now + freight for a mtech 2 370mm e30 steering wheel.... sounds too good to be true. Guess have to learn it the hard way. Still keen to get my money back though
-
Bought a steering wheel from them last month. Listed on trademe as mtech 2 for e30. When it was delivered, turned out to be for an e36. They told me that they will refund my payment as soon as I sent them back the item. So I posted it back to them on the 26 June which they got the same day. But up to now, still no refund.
Rang them today to follow up and I was told that it is now up to their accounts people and I shouldnt be chasing them. So argued my case stating that its already been 2 weeks since I returned the item. And guess what, they hung up on me.
Geez, talk about customer service!
