  1. I want to do the CDV delete , from the forums I read seems to be worth it.

same setup 3.15 open diff as well with 5 Speed.

What do you mean "being a factory auto it has a stupid rev hang, going to put a socket into the ICV" ?

  2. Yeah my car has pretty much a small ding on every panel, the price seems consistent though in AKL for what I wanted. I went to two reputed panel and paint shops, I am sure I will get the cheaper quotes from other places.

  3. Most often the case when you not looking, manual cars start popping up all over the place. When you are on the hunt for one not much out there...

I'm sure this is the case with Martins' M5, bargain price now but everyone that was in the market for this sort of car at the time, have probably moved on to something else most likely 335i sedan's which seemed to be the default choice considering what you get for the money and now are like WTF M5 for this money...

  4. This is what I was looking for about a year ago for similar money, was an impossible find at the time, ended up buying a 318i touring auto and doing the 3L manual conversion. Worked out maybe a grand more but for me its a blast in a modernish BMW at this price point. GL with your search. Another member is selling 540i touring wagon here with all the important bits done albeit there is Hugh difference in driving dynamics between the two.

  5. Hi

I have a 318i that has been converted to a 330i Manual and what i notice is that when in first gear especially but in any gear really when accelerating the car has a flat spot for a second and then goes straight to almost WOT. This make city driving a night mare, you have to really feather the throttle, i have driven another manual E46 328i and the throttle pedal is long and fluid an absolute joy to use comparatively.

I changed the following because needed to be changed anyways:

Oil Separator Kit - all associated piping and oil separator.

    Disa Valve.

    Cleaned out Throttle body.

I have inspected the intake boots and no spits or cracks.

    Air filter.

Any ideas what this could be, what am i missing.

    Cheers

  6. When I looked into it I think the isofix was factory fitted from 2001 (?) models onward, earlier models had a retrofit kit available through the dealers. I never took it any further as the costs didn't outweigh the benefits in my eyes. Isofix seems to take the margin of error out of the equation when installing the seats, didn't offer a higher level of restraint than a correctly fitted 3 point harness from what I read. Will happily be corrected if I'm wrong :)

    Cool thanks for the info.
