I got the car wheel alignment and balancing done today at mag n turbo, the place where I originally purchased the tyres. Took some time out of my day but the difference is night and day. Steering dead straight, no steering vibration. Really happy with the result.
Ellerslie automotive response from their staff is unless I get a mainstream tyre brand, I will get the same result. No refund, just moved on now but awful service and workmanship.

Yes you are correct steering wheel angle is out as well.

Thanks for the advice guys, Glen standard bmw 17inch wheels on the car. Is that hub centric?
-
No, I had to take it back to recheck. The tyres have done 8000km, will just book back with mag and turbo. I understand they are budget tyres but no good after so low kms is suspect.

Has anyone had experience with this tyre had them fitted a while back by mag and turbo. No issues recently sent my car in for wheel alignment and balance wheels and the car has never been the same again. Vibration ag the wheel is aweful, took it back to Ellerslie automotive . They say its a cheap tyre and will never balance correctly. Is this correct?

Hi
Any ideas what this may be only when the car is at full operating temperature from standstill when I take off or at idle there is a puff of white smoke. It does not always happen, just time to time also noticed when stationary there is an unusual vibration as in was not there last week when I used the car. It's not my daily right now anyway but would still like to sort it out before it gets worse.
Cheers

I had the expansion tank replaced in my prev 330, that was almost clear in colour this definitely to me anyway was contaminated. A comment from a non mechanic.

I went with a friend who wanted to purchase but noticed oil in the coolant tank if that matters and also did not have the same power as my previous 330i but good spec.

Will go fast

If anything don't want to lower the rear just the front abit, may look at compress the front springs not sure if this will compromise the ride handling will need to investigate.
-
What is the lowering height front\rear? Cheers

Giggle, one of my all time favourite bmw rims, they do look great on a 46 good luck with your sale
You can buy them for 7k, I'll even throw in a free car:

Good luck though, they're hard to find but look awesome on an E46.
