Hi ya. Its alive again. Heater hose at rear of engine had split. Also expansion tank? hose was loose, so they tighten that too! So, a hose, antifreeze, 2 rivets? and a light bulb (not related to last nights drama) and we all go again $200. Big Ups to Jeff Gray for fitting this in before the weekend on a day they were fully booked.....I'm impressed. Cheers for all the assistance and comments. Mark

Thanks mate. Its all starting to make sense now......and I am starting to relax on the size of the bill.

Yeah, Jeff Grays is pretty much my neighbour. Moved closer to them as I seemed to be there all the time. Next step is to have my salary paid to them!! Nah, its not that bad. Cars there now, will wander in first thing tomorrow. Will let ya know

Being no mechanical genius, can I just say................................Ke? does the radiator fluid run through the heater?
-
That'd be me. Always around Jville, although I dont live there!! Hoses off the radiator look ok. The green water was behind the fron left wheel
-
Yeah, I've had a look around the radiator. It doesnt seem to be a hose connected to that. It seems to be around the back of the engine. Theres some hoses that go around where the gearbox and motor join. Is the a cooling related hose round there??

Driving out tonight, I had some suspicious smoke coming out from under the bonnet. Temp was showing fine in the middle, not engine warnings, so pulled over to have a peek (cause I'm such a good mechanic, not), opening the bonnet, smoke was coming from left hand side near firewall. Looked under car and green fluid (radiator i assumed), then I started to panic, as I gave her a burst out onto the motorway, maybe I overdid it?? cooked the engine? noooo!!!! Anyway, radiators empty, still starts and runs smooth. Assuming this is just a hose of some sort and looking for reassuring words please.....

Hey, Saw an IMMACULATE M5 in Chch today. Black with kinda weird wheels (like the one that was for sale in Japan recently, you remember, almost new) Anyone on here? Mark
-
Just needs some bigger wheels now. 17's not filling the guards enough. although I like to design, and really liked thse Alpina like in your pics a few weeks back.

So thats the old ride huh Aaron. Very nice. Price is a bit high, and he wants another $1500 for the 17"s

Cheers. Me thinks the light helped. Before and after cut & polish etc it was a tad faded. Certianly looking better now.

LOL! Cheeky b'stard. You're suppose to be looking at the car. And only one is my neighbour. Besides, they were moving before I got here two weeks ago.

Hello, Time to put up some pics I guess. Just come back from having some love, stonechips & scratches airbrushed out, cut and polish and a fresh coat of wax. Made a HUGE difference, looks great now. Will even give Allan at Novika a free plug as he did a great job!! Highly recommended if you wanna touch up etc. Anyway, here's the pics. Mark
