this happens to me all the time. its a FUSE!!!! cant remember which one but its a 7.5A fuse. you will find that the eco meter thing wont work and the door lights wont work as well.

a vanos unit is a good start if you can find one. i have seen some V8 blocks in e30's ecu, loom, gearbox. cert for new mounts and engine

318 to a 325 swap is not a good idea. you will save sh*t loads buying a 325 you need: new motor wiring loom new gearbox engine mounts, certed aswell. they dont bolt in. 325 suspention set up. it is different to 318. as block is heavier
