Hey Guys, Have listed my E39 on trademe shortly however I just wanted to see if there way any interest here first as Id love to see it go to a forum member than that trademe riff raff. Im heading overseas in mid Dec so the car will need to be gone prior, it guts me to have to sell but its better than having it rot away in storage while Im away (and it will give me an excuse for the missus to look at E46 M3's when I get back). Quick run through of specs: 145,000km Titanium Silver w/ Black leather & Silver trim Full Msport package Full service history since rolling off showroom floor, NZ new. Radiator hoses, expansion tank, water pump etc all replaced within the last 2 years. Vanos seals, vally pan gasket, cam cover gaskets all replaced this year. Dynavin D99 WinCE installed through SWAuto. Everything works as it should. Comes with old 16:9 radio, car phone w/ arm rest and wood grain trim, as well as a Stormguard car cover. The only issues are aesthetic: Hood has stone chipping due to mileage/year, small amount of corrosion on rear window frame on each side, and left side passenger door has some small dings from previous owner who I assume had a child seat installed. Ill be asking for $13k on trademe but am happy go $12.5k(neg.) for forum member. Only selling at that price as times against me. Ideally Id like to sell in November-ish so if youre interested let me know as Id prioritize sale for forum members. Any questions fire away. It'll be going to an indy, thanks for your feedback guys. Ill put away a grand for it to cover any surprises. Its strange I seem to remember someone telling me the inspection II was expensive, 2k+. Thanks again

Hi Team, Currently overseas and am planning my budget for the E39 on my return. Its due for its inspection II but unsure how much I need to budget off for it. Can anyone give me a rough idea on cost assuming little needs to be done? $1500? $2000? I would ring around but am overseas so it could get expensive. Cheers for any feedback.

Im heading oversea's to another tropical paradise in mid march for around 6 months and am looking at picking up an outdoor cover for the E39 as I cant garage it.. not the best option but a damn sight cheaper than storing it at a storage facility. Does anyone have any brands they can recommend? Any alternative options I could look into? I would appreciate any feedback. Cheers, Nick

Just thought Id share my good luck a couple of days ago! http://i.imgur.com/9PIsm.jpg Driving from work and Im about 700m from home when steam started to billow out from under the hood, pulled over immediately, engine off, watch the temp gauge climb to about 3/4, *bing* "Check Coolant Level".... sh*t...... Popped the hood and saw the cause. Bummer! Rang Ken at Bellars, closed for the Christmas break (by about 30 minutes!), just my luck! Jerry Clayton came to the rescue and took it on Friday so fingers crossed its ready tomorrow or after xmas/boxing day. There's always a silver lining to things like this though, Im going to do a 500 odd km road trip up north just after Christmas so it could have been much worse. Funny thing is Ive been eyeing those two plastic connections up and was going to get them replaced for piece of mind when I take the car in for its Inspection II in January!

Hey guys, Just a question to the guys running the WinCE version of the D99. Do any of you know where to download up-to-date mapping software for my sat nav? The unit was installed around Feb this year so Im looking to update the maps. Ive contacted Renming at SWAUTO but he hasnt replied in a while. I havent checked what file format the maps are on the microSD, is it a common satnav file extension? Can I pull the maps say, off a TomTom and itll work? Secondly, is anyone aware of a firmware update for the D99? Ive noticed a few bugs that are starting to annoy me with the unit, if theres a new firmware available that would be sweet. Ive contacted Dynavin to ask but, no reply.. Cheers, Nick

Hi Guys, Just thought Id share some pics of my new E39. Some small changes Ive done to the car over the last couple weeks: Replaced interior wood grain trim with the polished aluminium style courtesy of Ray @ HellBM Window tinting courtesy of the team @ Carfolie Dynavin D99 head unit courtesy of Renming @ SWAutomotive Its NZ new with me being the 4th owner (outside of dealerships), its had a complete service history since coming off the showroom floor in 2001! A couple of things that will need doing in a couple of months is just the hood will need a respray due to stone chipping, its quite extensive which is a shame, as well as that the rear left door has a couple of small dents which will also need to be removed. Could anyone recommend anyone? Enjoy!
