  1. Hey guys, investigating my options... Cost of repairing this might be too much for me to see it through, but to someone who can do it themselves or has contacts, you might get a steal. Cosmetic damage only, no structural. Warrant and Rego have lapsed since the accident, but rego has been put on hold for now. Last two warrant sheets available, totally clean. 1983 316 1.8l manual in Pastellblau. Dark blue interior. 164k miles. Damage sustained to front bumper, bonnet, cracked windscreen, air dam behind number plate is bent, and front passenger fender has a minor fold. Pretty easy fix for someone handy. Car is still totally drivable. Full disclosure, it also needs new rear shocks and new rubber connections for the exhaust, but I've been getting by without them. 15' BBS RS, awesome JVC bluetooth headunit and pioneer speakers, lowered slightly on aftermarket springs. Open to offers? That probably won't cut it with the mods though. $2500 with BBS, $1500 with some 14 inch replacements. Call me on 021826966 to come and have a look. It's in Auckland, either Eden Terrace or Herne Bay. Cheers. Heath

  7. hey guys, had a wee prang a few weeks back and the panelbeater has come up completely empty looking for parts through their channels, so just wanted to throw it out there and see if someone might have this stuff laying around. twin headlight grill needed. let me see what you've got. cell is 021 826 966 if you want to give me a buzz directly. cheers! heath.

  17. hey guys, i appreciate the feedback, cheers. the interior is just as tidy - could definitely do with a good vacuum, but i'll get there soon. no major plans apart from the lowering springs and bbs, which i've already done. thinking of adding central locking and alarm, sound system overhaul and at some stage urethane bushes. minor stuff like updating the roundels, adding a cupholder etc are all underway already.
  18. hey bimmersporters, been lurking for a fair while, but i'm finally starting to participate. bought an e21 a month back, slowly tweaking it as the finances allow. i've previously owned an e30, and still own an e36 which my partner now drives. the e21 is super straight, one owner it's entire life before i bought it off what i think was her grandson. it's a 1983 316 1.8. Produced in May, which was the last month these were ever produced. Basaltblau exterior and pacificblau interior. About 155,000 miles on the clock, which is fairly moderate for her age. Heaps more plans for her, and i'll keep posting as things develop. Cheers. Heath.
  19. i made a cupholder for my E21 yesterday, thought i'd detail it for any other E21 owners needing a solution. man i was struggling with the morning drive to work with a coffee in my gear changing hand, so set about making this. measurements... cut by designcam, a neighbouring business. first plan was to cover it in vinyl... test fit... sweet. if i did it again i'd make the holes slightly bigger. well and truly failed glueing the vinyl, next stop painting... the drive to work this morning was a great success...
  20. for those who are interested in the future - sorted a set of cobra low's through "tamaman2" on trademe, his business is called "wheel crazy". cheers. heath.
  21. hey guys, i'm hoping to find a full set of lowering springs for a 1983 316 E21. let me know if you have any, or know a place i can find some. any help appreciated. cheers all. heath.
  22. Hey guys, Hoping for some total noob help. I'm trying to find out whether the following wheelset will fit on an e21. They are 15" BBS RS 033's (15x6.5 et34), with an added 1 inch lip. I've searched the forums but can't find the specific answers. Now for the multitude of questions... Will I need spacers? If so, where should I look for these? Any recommendations on the best place to get these fitted? Where do I go about getting them certed? Will they need it? Many thanks to those who are able to offer advice. Cheers. Heath.
  23. Message sent re the BBS package. Cheers, Heath.
