  2. the saturday of the 16/11/13 was godd, picked up my longawaited wheels, fitted them on, looked mean.

then on sunday, on the way to maratei, whlie the lady friend was making an audi battle, trans safe falshed on dash and the car switched off. beemer got started and on the way to the garage a whining got louder an louder. there was a major leak at the bell housing..i've replaced a box for a customer with the same fault never expecting this to happen.not at 3 months of ownership.

anyway box out on monday eve, and to the trans specialist on tues. research showed that its a common fault on thee 5hp19 boxs for the bush to pack up. +- $2000 TO DO A PROPER REPAIR!!!

so decided on last friday that a manula transplant will suit the babe much more... .

Hi guys. I work at a Bridgestone tyre center. I notice slight drifting left to right when leaving the steering while driving,as a normal testing procedure, and the excessive tyre wear on fronts and l/rear .so I swopped front tyres left to right on the rims, and had to replace the l/rear tyre.here are the specs

Front: cambers uneven.L high, non adjustable,so are the casters.

too much toe out hence the inner tyre wear, and had a heavy steering, thought it could of been the pump.or me needing more gym

Rear:left camber high with toe out,not good at all.there must be ample toe in with high camber to cancel out inner tyre wear.

Standard inspection for any steering, bushing or bearings done.

Hey guys. A technician at PJ Auto, mt roskill.here's the service sheet for thee the new ride.i wil try to go through thee whole procedure an always open to better methods ay. Its better yous google for best advice on each procedure for more explanatory .

put an oil flush in to get rid of any tight gunk.the oil was . . . . . ok so wil be doing the next service with another flush quite soon.Posted Image

Put a flush into engine, idle up for 20-30 minutes, then drain after cooling down for abit.

  6. Thanks guys . She's truly a jewel(not M3/M5/csl ), but man she rides so smooth.just stiffer with thee lowness, but amazingly comfy.

heres the service sheet that we work with and I plan on going through the whole service in the forum(maybe 3yrs to load pics though )haha.

I also machined the front rotors at work, fitted new pads, bendix premiums, which work great, swopt over front tyres left to right, cos was eating inner, and did an alignment to compensate for the hard camber cos of the drop.documented all with photos. <_<

  7. Hi there fellow Beemer brethren. New the forum, always wanted to join, but never had something worthy off.

    Last german car was a prestine 1995 e34 525i, then 2 japs, now finally a tidy e39 525i :D

Heres some pics of the first day intro for inspection, with no intention of buying, but just for planning.....but guess she had other plans.

I am a technician at P J Automotive & Bridgestone Tyre Center in Mt Roskill by the way,and this was wat the beems was all about:

    oil dirty

    coolant good

    no rattles

    gear changes smooth

    car drove great
