    E36 M Kit

Thanks all, I found out a genuine m-tech bumper would be $900 ish on exchange. I would prefer the replica so it matches my back bumper. Still if anyone knows where to get cheap, reasonable fibreglass kits then let me know. Cheers.

    E36 M Kit

Anyone know where I can find an E36 Motorsport front bumber and sideskirts??? Preferably one piece fibreglass replica bumper and M3 style sideskirts with crease. (as opposed to the flat kind) Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
  4. [but then see how much resourcing is going into property related crimes (eg- theft, burglary, vandalism). Gets me very angry. Agreed. My tax dollar bought a speed camera. Would it be blowing things out of proportion to start a vigilante syndicate?

    Worst e30 ever?

That truely is a horrific piece of machinery. Kill it before it spreads.
  6. If any of you are ever stuck in Thames, do anything in your powers to avoid using Thames Towing. Thames Towing = savage rip off + more damage
  7. Happy birthday for yesterday Ryan. I take it you're feeling pretty average from your absence from work today! see ya Saturday night. Would've seen you last night if I wasn't asleep on the floor (don't ask)

    Bmw 318is mods

Agreed. Would be different though. If it wasn't for road use, you can't look past the dodgy welded locker! If funds aren't an issue, I'd love to see it done.

    Bmw 318is mods

[guy at work has a turbo 318i with the is motor he has about 320rwhp if i remember right ] I'm sure I've seen this. M42 with turbo/frnt mount etc. Very tidy looking. Just goes to show, anything's possible with deep pockets. 320 rwhp would be psychotic in an E30 :thumb:
  10. [thought it was you, have seen ur e30 round a bit, milford and taka.. did you keep the plate? ] Yeh kept the plate. New owner wrote the car off! Selling plate if anyone's interested. Looked wrong on new car.

    2.3 E30 M3 -

My contact will sell complete engine with mildly ground & polished ports for $1,800. Limited supply of parts (which would be a very wise investment) would be extra. I have seen this motor running on engine dyno. Apparently even engine mounts are not too far off. Only real headache i can foresee is the sump/crossmember relationship. This guy had 6 other motors, all brought over from South Africa at time of discussion. 1 of which is the later 2.5 4 cylinder block. Based on this, prices for whole exercise will be nowhere near the quoted $14,999.00 USD but thanks for the parts list.
  12. Awesome choice of colour. Hot house green or Kryptonite green? Had same paint job on my old E30. Looks wicked in sun if kept clean. good job. [reckon shadowlining it would look any better] Agreed, Shadowlining looks wicked with custom paint. I'm sure I had to etch the chrome 1st????
  13. What do we think of speed cameras in stupid places? Any rediculous stories would be great! I got a fine for overtaking a fool doing 60. I was doing 112 kph. this was a 100 kph zone. :banghead:
  14. [i may be mistaken and correct me if thats the case.. but I understand that if you break the law then you get a fine. So if you don't want fines/demerit points DON'T break the law... pretty simple really...just my take on it ] To a certain extent. The labour government dreamt up a lot of stupid laws not for our safety but as revenue gathering, eg speed cameras on passing lanes.
  15. This does actually seem a reasonable idea if ever in this situation. I heard of a great test for this theory. A retard with an E30 320i sedan, no springs, hideous chromes, stupid loud exhaust (auto) rediculous tints, (must be 0%) rediculous. welded diff centre, no WOF or rego and daily driven!!!! Will keep this site well informed on court proceedings for this idiot. Thanks all.

    2.3 E30 M3 -

[solution: buy an E36 M3 - they are cheap as chips now!] E36 M3's aren't cheap if you're only 20 even before you run into insurance trouble. The idea came up after talking to a guy about some engines he imported from Sth Africa. One of which I have seen running on an engine dyno at 241 hp @ flywheel. The M42 block is basicly the same design as the old E30 M3 block so will match up with the gearbox exactly. Noone has done this conversion to my knowledge and as we all know, it's getting hard to be original these days.

    2.3 E30 M3 -

Anyone know about the 2.3 E30 M3 engine? I've been playing with the idea of an engine transplant in an E36 318is M-sport. In theory the gearbox will mate up to the new block no problem. I've heard the m3 sump won't make friends with the E36 cross member.
  18. Does anyone out there have any unpaid fines? I've heard if you overpay your fine by even as little as $5 it will leave you with a credit balance on your licence. Then when (if) you get another fine, the police computer can't handle it (no fine to pay). This sounds rediculous and i highly doubt it would work but for $5 i'd give it a try.
  19. [and why would i do that??] If you want your rear guards over yor rims like you've said you will scrape on everything you drive over. There are no 2 ways about it. :gay:

    LAYDLO bma

[CrazyLac is ALWAYS in Mission Bay, hell I can't talk I'm down there every Sunday afternoon - it's something to do. Come say hi bmaguy - neither of us bite. ] Ryan, please stop biting people. Go A team!
  21. Compressing standard springs will get you the best results on the cheap. If you keep the front springs at least 240mm high and the back at least 190 mm they will be captive and will have your chassis scraping on everything. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  22. Hey, Look out for me next time you're around Birkenhead(Black E36 Coupe) I've had so many discussions (arguements)on what's a motorsport and what's not. In general, Motorsport models were just the standard car with M badges, M kit, harder suspension and interior. No engine difference att all unless a homologation special. I got so sick of the drama i took the badge off the boot. They were definately recognised as a genuine motorsport model. I'd be keen to meet whoever told you there's no such thing. Rip his face off and he might not be so cocky.
  23. Insurance in itself seems a brilliant corporate money making scheme. Twice I have had legal fights over insurance claims which should have been straight foward. Realisticly, providing you don't drive like a retard, you are far better keeping money aside you would save by not paying insurance incase you need it for what would normally be a claim. Can anyone help with certification??? I have recently had a few problems with ride hight(65mm from lowest chassis point). I want to keep the ride hight as it is however this is no good in the eyes of the law. My car is homoligated with suspension that sits the chassis lower than 100 mm from the ground. I have been told this doen not require certification if it came as factory equipment. Does anyone actually know what they are talking about. Please help. Thanks Charles
