  2. Okay so i ended up sending my headliner and pillars down to the auto upholstery shop.... Sorry guys. Will try make the next project a proper one, can send you guys pics of it when i get it back though ;)

best decision you have taken, just not worth the hassle of doing it yourself, the 3M stuff is good but chances of coming off is there as well, and its a messy job without the tools, for most newbies like you and me.

BE CAREFUL about the rear C pillars, they are a Bi*ch to get back on, and chances of never looking the same, ask me how :( they break so easily, the tabs as crap and the mounting system on the whole e36 sucks donkey balls. so be very careful with c pillars. cost is around $200 - 300 depending on who does it, but make sure its good foam backed fabric. :)

  3. Yep, im sure you could have PMd me...

but I have some spares here if you want to send them back.

    Yip.

Can you send it to me? I just need one. I have used superglue (with no luck) on the broken one but since is at the back of the plate so I am not too bothered (it wont show). the one that seems to be defective from factory with 1/2 burned off in a triangle. that I want a replacement of.

  4. I have had a old(bad) and new fan clutch before, the old one if something you can easily turn and spin the blade but on the new (good) one you can not. just something to watch out for, other then that removing it is pretty easy, just a locking tool to the waterpump (A big screw driver also works) then a 32mm wrench and a good hammer blow and you are done.

go to milland, look him up on trademe, the fan clutch can be had for around $150 shipped. a good german oem like brand.

  5. do any of you feel the arm rest gets in the way of driving? I am average height, it just hits my elbows so I pull it high up if I am seriously driving in the mountains but still feels kinda contained in my movements compared to when I dont have arm rest am I missing a tip or something to improve my driving abilities with the arm rest there?

  6. got the door handle to kinda work, I have to really yank it real hard at one go and it would open but still stay a bit out unless I place it back in. i have a spare early e36 sitting around, can anybody point me to a diy that shows how to remove the door handle from the door, I cant seem to figure it out, then maybe I can simply swap the door handles and have the locksmith swap the keyhole tumblers etc if they can fix it, just trying to save a few bucks because the guy may charge me a lot if I let him do the whole thing.

    going there tomorrow morning anyway..
