Not sure on Kms i think its about 180. less than 10k on the engine rebuild. looking for offers around 9k. it owes me 11k I have driven it all over the north island recently and it hasn't skipped a beat

My Pride and Joy is up for sale. allot of money has been spent on it recently as i never intended to sell it is a 1993 e30 touring it has had a recent drive line swap for all the best bits it has a m20B25 engine which runs perfectly attached to a 5 speed gearbox which is in perfect condition, also short shifted. it is connected to a freshly rebuilt LSD with new bearings and seals. disc breaks all round with good wheel bearings. no curbing on any of the wheels and decent tyres. H&R springs all round with good shocks. I fitted a ultra racing rear sway bar and whiteline front swaybar with new bushings this improved the handling enormously I also fitted new powerflex control arm bushes and diff bush which improved handling also. interior is complete and has dark blue leather front recaro sports seats in very good condition. has new speakers all round and a fusion head unit. tinted windows (legal) new badges and euro plates very good solid car, drives like it should with plenty of power mechanically very good paint work is average photo from when i got it, i am overseas at the moment can have the new bonnet painted for the right price. the last owners damaged the other bonnet swapping the engine so i got a nice new one put on

Hi Guys the touring is for sale if anyone is interested. i have my eye on another bmw to buy. it will have a freshly painted Green bonnet. it now has a new lsd with all new seals and bearings and recaro sports seats in blue leather

Last few days i have put a LSD in the wagon. LSD internals found on trademe for about $600 and i rebuilt it my self transferring the gear from the old open diff onto the new unit and of course new bearings and seals. also new powerflex diff bush pleased to report that it is a very tight diff and locks up really nice. really nice to slide now with all the new sway bars etc. steering is keeping me busy with that slow rack.

hey guys day dreaming about future plans, has anyone put a 3.0l diesel in a e30? appart from the obvious problem of getting a cheap enough engine what would be required for the swap? obviously would want a manual gearbox aswell.

been working on the handling recently. installed: 24mm whiteline front sway bar 19mm ultra racing rear sway bar solid one piece ultra racing strut brace nolethane rear control arm bushings. (old ones had so much play) it has transformed the car corners so much flatter now. have discovered a problem whilst doing the wheel alignment, it appears that the front left strut has been bent which gives me -4 degrees camber on that wheel and only -2 degrees on the other side. it rides well on these springs and shocks so im not going with adjustable coilovers or anything. planing on replacing that strut and then figuring out how to correct the camber? maybe camber plates in the front and open to suggestions for the rear? is there offset bushings or something that will work

problem solved. it has the remains of an alarm. no siren at all and half wired into the loom which will be why it was only on three door and two indicators. obviously the immobiliser was working haha. Thanks

so this morning i was about drive the e30 touring. opened the door and the right indicator started flashing??????? about 10 seconds later it stopped turned the key to on everything lights up as normal radio starts etc. indicator starts flashing again?? car wont start now. doesnt even try to turn over. so i got the multi meter out and the battery is good. 13volts across the terminals. all fuses appear to be ok. upon further tinkering i found that all the doors trigger the flashing and also if you turn the interior lights on it starts to flash. it seems like anytime i do something related to power it triggers the flashing. does anyone know what is happening here? seems like a short somewhere

how do i know what gearbox it has? engine is a m20b25

muffler appears to be OEM but otherwise its straight pipe to the headers not sure if thats a good thing? what is the best exhaust system to have for sound and performance? is there a magic recipe yeah most of it is there now except the skirts and front lip. I am going to be the one to bring it back to life

The last few days i have been on a mission with the old girl. Fully striped the rear interior and coated everything in fisholine, hardly any signs of rust i just wanted to future proof it. next i removed the shitty TEAC headunit and put in a new fusion unit that i found in the old mans garage, and new rear speakers. so much better. does anyone know if there are replacement aerials that are nicer looking? i got the Rug doctor onto the interior, unbelievable amount of black sh*t came out haha, such a difference. just need to get some nice mats and some seat repairs now. Reset the inspection light on the dash after a oil and filter change, thanks google. then she went up on the hoist to investigate why it handles like sh*t when everyone has said "e30 the drivers car?" found that the rear control arm bushes are shot resulting in heaps of movement. ordered some nolathane replacements and a whiteline front swaybar, the rear one is not in stock apparently so if anyone is selling a rear adjustable bar about 16mm get at me. will probably put a strut brace on as well. also checked shocks, springs, wheel bearings, brakes, other bushings. all surprisingly good exhaust is hanging on by hopes and dreams. this needs attention ASAP clearly missing allot of hangers/brackets, also the two pipes are rattling together near the middle of the car which doesn't seem right at all. will need to space them with some sort of bracket i think. it has a annoying drone at 80 to 100 kmh is that normal? so i want a LSD but have no idea what to get. experts please comment. these are the stampings on the current diff 1 210 433 3.64 8162 w/01 BM-012

Thanks for the info guys. this car is registered as a 316i. does anyone know if there are any chassis differences on the tourings? I am looking into some whiteline or Eibach swaybars does anyone have experience with these? I am presuming they are all interchangeable between the e30s? Its on H&R springs, unsure of shocks

The project begins. I am new to BMWs so this is also a learning exercise for me but the idea is always to do it once and do it right. 1993 E30 Touring photos to come soon. the car appears to have had a hard life, but the good news is no rust and someone has done the conversion from a 1.6l to the 2.5 with matching gearbox. The Goal is to create a very clean resto and appropriately modified car the pant and interior are a mess but that will come later, for now its service time and focusing on getting it driving nice. my experience with the car so far has been driving around auckland for a few days then the trip home to New Plymouth. issues that need addressing so far. rubbish exhaust sound, drones under 110kmh, sounds good at high rpm however. no sway bars at all? is that normal? car is nice and low but handles terribly. rear diff noisey, i would like a LSD If anyone has good information and contacts for these please let me know. also will be wanting a leather interior for it.
