Nah the guy was out of town this weekend. Did see a couple of autos, one has been sitting at penrose cars for a whole year. There is one at motorco with 80 thousand ks but the suspension was pretty worn and soft, and it had a terrible top end tick at startup. Best one I've seen by far is still the white manual in the mount.... guess you buy on condition and not ks....

Also this will be blasphemy here... even with new gearbox mounts the 130i didn't have a great gear change. My other car is a NC2 mx5 so that might explain it. The auto was excellent for an auto, but I ll have to lose a leg before I buy one. Just thought I would check it out.

ah yeah so the 2007 was the one with stock but new suspension, the 06 was the auto with the better turn in and steering feel, not well looked after from what I can see, but must've been someones baby when it was back in Japan (that exhaust sounded quite special, and great wheels with aftermarket suspension) Thanks M3AN - i thought the LCIs all had EPAS - I didn't even seen the reservoir lol

drove these two today - one was on stock but new Sachs shocks, the other on slightly worn out AC schnitzer ones (I think, it rode slightly lower and werent coilovers, and the car had heaps of AC stickers) . You should see the polished 24s at night! but really, if i could do it again I would've just bought a bbs set. the cost of buying them then getting it polished + more dremmling and hand polishing........ lol

Bump, have sold the car so these have to go, $700

Diff fluid was changed using a full synthetic penrite - I forget the exact grade but it was something like a 75w140 with LSD additive. that was about 18-24 months ago, so perhaps worth changing soon but i don't think its urgent. (I ve driven about 7-8000ks in the last 2 years)

Uh also, The white Dowels and the funny looking screws are the mounting hardware for the splitter. They were ebay items and I couldn't get them to fit after about 10 minutes, so gave up, might need the edges trimmer with a dremmel

Hi Vince - yeah the spark plugs have been changed twice. changed it once, then found the spark plug o rings leaking, replaced them and changed the plugs again. Also, the transmission has fresh D4 ATF in it - literally a month old, also the engine is running 5w40 penrite 10.10th, found the 10w50 too thick for it. That was changed in February. you found a 3 spoke wheel? awesome.
