  1. Bump. Reduced price to $650 ONO Looking to get these out of the garage so put up an offer if keen! Otherwise will try my luck on trademe
  2. Picked up the car last night and went the long way home - wow car seems to have a little more power and a lot more response! Even the sound between 3-6k rpm seems to be different than I remember... Not sure how much of this is a placebo effect but happy none the less considering the difference in the before/after photos!
  3. The car has been at BM Workshop all week getting full check over with regular service items as well as spark plugs replaced. Have also had a walnut blasting job done on the intakes (Which were very dirty for 70,000kms!) so looking forward to see if I can feel the difference. Even if I can't, it provides a bit of piece of mind know things can operate a bit cleaner! Will post the after pics tomorrow after I pick her up to show the difference. Should be all ready for a tune now
  4. Definitely genuine OEM I recall there were stampings on the back when I was cleaning them but can't remember off the top of my head. BM069 and BM070 were one of the stampings though I will see what else when I get home next
  5. Ah OK I must've had to pay for the TPMS since my new wheels are aftermarket - ignore my earlier comment Further research shows these specs: 215/40 R18 / 245/35 R18 8Jx18 ET40 / 9Jx18 ET40 5x120 However this link gives slightly different numbers of ET49 / ET52 http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ - Style of wheel is 261 (M)
  6. Thanks for that info regarding sizing and pricing - I am happy to consider all offers. The last wof was in March and all tyres passed then however just trying to be honest and to me the fronts look quite bald Another thought - each wheel would also contain Tire Pressure Monitoring System which new are around $60 each. At least that is what it cost me to install in my new wheels
  7. Thanks for the info guys - have amended price to $750 ono Where would I find the size & offset information ?
  8. Car has traveled 70k kms and all 4 wheels have at least some curbing but pretty good condition overall - hopefully you can get a better idea from the pics below Fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Runflats on them - front tyres barely any tread left, rear tyres moderate tread although one has a flathead nail in it - so would suggest the new owner replaces all 4 Staggered Sizing: Fronts - 215/40/18 - 8.5mm ET40 Rears - 245/35/18 - 9.5mm ET40 Price $750 $650 ono Pick up only from central Auckland
  9. Cheers Michael! and Christian!
  10. Extremely happy with the fitment of the wheels - as soon as I took my first drive there was an immediate improvement of the old runflats. Both front and rear now sit flush with the body and give the car that subtly aggressive look I was after. Great to meet a few more guys yesterday and now look forward to taking advantage of the engine potential! Quick pic from parking up for lunch on Sunday - can't help but turn around every time I walk away from the car!
  11. Na mate haven't been over those ways for a while!
  12. Collected my new wheels yesterday 2mths after ordering - happy days! VMR 710 in hyper silver with Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2's. Will fit them Saturday morning hoping that the sun is shining so I can go for a bit of a cruise afterwards! Is there a break-in period with new tyres that I should be aware of?
  13. Very badass! Black exterior with tan (cinnamon?) interior is a lovely combo congrats on the purchase!
  14. I know that's why I'm taking my time! It is like you pick up a new game and straight away input the cheat for all weapons instead of playing through it first - kinda spoils the fun! It is inevitable in the end but the more you own it the more you appreciate the changes. That is why I asked how long he had owned it for - if it has been a while then I would entirely be in support of a tune!
  15. I am in the same boat as you - have a stock 135i and still considering my options for upgrades - one question John how long have you owned your 135? When I bought my car 2mths ago I was very close to buying exhaust, downpipes, charge pipe, intake etc + Cobb Accessport V3 online from US within a week, however I spoke to a number of owners, mechanics (incl Ross), and tuners and eventually settled on no upgrades at all (apart from replacing run-flats). Rather I was advised just to enjoy the car for what it is for the time being. It is a smoking good car from factory and you need to understand how you car is suited to your driving style before throwing money at it. For some it may be more power to keep those JDM's at bay, others it may be suspension, mounts, tyres etc to maximise the stock power through the hills in the weekend. Or if you're Suresh it is all the above! By all means take your car and make it yours, just ensure you are doing it because you feel it will enhance the your driving experience, not because the internet said so
  16. I remember talking to Josh at the meet up and hasn't he gone the route where he removed the cats and that is it? I can't recall the sound when he drove away though so might have to have another chat next meet up perhaps
  17. ^^^ Cheers Steve might look into that!
  18. Got some tints for my car, really happy with the new look. Wheels and tyres arriving next week so should hopefully be looking better in time for the next Cars n Coffee meet up! Before: After:
  19. I was in the position of choosing either an E46 M3, a 335i or my eventually winner the 135i. I had the M3 on loan for 48hrs and it did not make the decision any easier! That noise was something special, but the fact that i driver over 600kms a week for work, I couldn't put my faith in maintaining the M3. Plus an ideal 135i popped up before the ideal M3 did Look forward to meeting you and your car!
  20. Very nice cars! So hard to walk past a tidy E46 M3. So did you already own the 335i before buying the M3 and kept it in-case you didn't want to daily the M3?
  21. They must've let up on the parking monitoring as I have been there 2yrs and not received any! There is the tow truck that scouts out anybody not parked correctly - i.e. outside their garage - every few days though! Black isn't bad but not the best ;P
  22. Yea I can't stand black especially on a car that has so many curves and nice lines as the 135. Only seen one other same colour as mine and that was auto VMR's are very popular in the US on these cars for good reason - they look awesome i reckon! The sales rep helped out a lot as well so can't wait for them to get here Indeed! No more than 1/4 throttle in 2nd at any intersection i've found haha. Hence the new sticky tires though (although likely not much better in the wet) Will PM thanks Thanks mate - pretty stoked about it - my first bmw and its amazing so far Cheers - I've booked it in for a service at BM Workshop to go over everything thoroughly before I start with any mods. I wanna get Ross to check out condition of HPFP, turbos, intakes etc before I start tinkering. It came with a transferrable mechanical warranty thats good for the next 2 years which will be voided if I mod as well so have to keep that in mind if something costly is on its way out Although i'm so keen on an AA exhaust to hear more of that lovely straight 6 engine note!
  23. After many months of patiently waiting for a 6-spd manual low km 135i to pop up for sale I finally got my hands on one a couple of weeks ago! I was looking for a car that was 6-spd, sunroof, less than 75k and NOT BLACK and came across this - my sedona red 135i. Ideally would've preferred a 2009 but can't be too picky! So far I have ordered some 18" VMR 710's rims with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres from the US as the run flats need replacing and may as well may it look good at the same time! Won't arrive for another 6-8wks though due to LA port congestion. Thought about ordering some performance parts too (intake, exhaust, downpipes, charge pipe, intercooler, cobb V3) to add on to the shipment but thought better and will just take my time before jumping into mods If anyone knows where I can get the idrive changed to NZ (maps and radio) that would help a lot!
  24. Cheers guys it is amazing! Havn't taken any pics yet but will add some in near future - hoping to get my camera out this weekend and snap some
