Nothing yet, but thinking of using the mechanicals from my 328 Coupe to build a 328 Ti. Just started the research.

  1. Here is a picture of the eye location, as a reference for anyone else who is removing one of these.
  2. Hi Glen. I removed that panel, and pushed the wiring out the way and took the upper part of the inlet off, and got a hook onto the rear eye, hooked up the front and got it out. It did swing a little to the left (looking from the front) and rubber a little but not to bad. Once I had it free of the engine mounts I lifted it a little at a time and changed the angle as I went and it came out relatively easily. I had removed all the front panels including the radiator support panel and that made it a lot easier. Thanks again for the pointers. Cheers Mark
  3. Thanks for that Mike/Glen. I think I found it burried at the back once I moved all the wiring out the way. Not the easiest place to get a hook into, hopefully get the chance to try on the weekend. Cheers.
  4. I am just about to pull the M44 engine out of a 318ti, the front eye for attaching the hoist is easy. But I haven't been able to spot the rear eye/lifting point. Is there one there somewhere? Any tips on where it is. Or do I have to bolt an eye onto something. Cheers Mark
  5. Hi Ray. Great work, look forward to seeing the finished job. Ever since I saw pictures of the original concept, I thought it would be a great thing to build if I had the time, money, talent and ability. Seeing the effort that is going into the fabrication of the front guards. I was wondering if you had thought of getting some molds done, and selling replicas. I think there might be a bit of a market for people wanting at least the look of the concept. You have probably seen this, but if not have a look. Some of the others might find it interesting. Cheers Mark.
  6. I have got a 98 E36 318 Ti Motorsport and need to redo the roof lining. But I want to swap to a non motor sport fabric (not black), so need all the bits of plastic, sun roof hole surround and switch and sun visors from a non motor sport Ti. Was wondering if there was anyone with a non motor sport Ti that wants to redo their roof lining in motor sport black. And would be interested in doing a swap of all the associated bits. Cheers.
  7. Hi. Is it for a manual or auto? I have one out of a manual, 3.45 ration. Cheers.
