Hey fellow Bimmersporters! I've been on this forum for some time now, but never really showed off my car. This is because I bought my car from a Bimmersporter, and hadn't really made it my own yet. However I've finally made some changes to it to really add some of my own flavour to it. Hope you guys like! As some of you may know, the car used to sit on AC Schnitzer Type II's, but now they sit on staggered 17" Style 5s. I bought the style 5s from a Bimmersport member, and refinished them with the help of Jasmit (another Bimmersport member), so a big shout out to him for helping me and teaching me how to refurb wheels! Thanks for the info! I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to wheel fitments and such (so bear with me!). Ideally no additional camber is good, I like the look of the 'flush' fitment, but don't want to go overboard with excessive (or any) negative camber. If it helps, these photos are my inspiration. I currently run 17" ACS Type II's on my ti, if that helps.

Hey all, was hoping some of you may be able to shed some light on my speedometer issue here. I've had this problem pop up intermittently a few times over the past couple of months, and while it didn't bug that much previously - it seems to be progressively getting worse, and now happens more frequently. The issue is this: When driving, the speedometer will either: a ) Jump around wildly, flicking itself between any speeds on the speedo range. Highest I've seen it jump to was about 160 kmph (and obviously I wasn't doing that speed, probably something around 50km lol). or b ) Not move at all, and just stay at zero. Issue (a) is more common and now frequently occurs during everyday driving. When the speedo shows zero for speed I don't think it registers the distance on the odometer (which is bad?). My friend told me to perform the cluster check (by starting up with the distance reset button held), and everything appears to work. All lights in my cluster as well as all the other gauges work correctly. I am pretty newbie when it comes to car stuff thus I'm not sure what/where this problem is, and what I can do to solve it! So any help will be appreciated! Oh, yes the car is a 1997 E36 318ti, 5 speed manual. I have included a video to illustrate the symptoms, and the cluster check. Cheers!

Oh trust me mate I was raging after the incident. Only thing is it happened so damn fast I was too busy concentrating on trying to avoid flying glass. There were cars in the lanes beside me so I couldn't really avoid it though I figure they sped off as soon as they tossed it, so couldn't get a number plate down or anything either. I guess I can just look at it positively in the fact that it could've been a lot worse =S

Hey all, so being a responsible person I was sober driving in to town last night at around 11.30pm. All was fine until some douchebag tossed a glass bottle at the car in front of me, which then smashed and flung right in to my car. The major damage is a crack on my right headlight and small chips/cracks on my windscreen. In terms of the windscreen I will be covered by insurance with no excess so that's okay, but I was wondering if you guys could recommend what the best course of action is for the headlight damage. Should I just replace the glass cover? Or are there other options? On my budget, the cheaper the option - the better, but I do want to fix it up properly. Thanks in advance all, pics below:

Rough cost will be a big deciding factor of course, but what're the chances of finding: E36 318ti Mtech front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper? Actually, could someone confirm for me, in regards to the E36 Ti (compact), is the front bumper the same as the E36 sedan? I heard this somewhere, just wanted to double check. But the sideskirts and rear are definitely unique to the Ti/compact yes? Thanks =)

Hahah oh how I'd love to! But my poor student bank account may not agree with me at the moment =( Plus, if I did get an M-tech kit (which I plan to in the future), I'd like to do all round (front, side and rear), as I have the grey sides, so if I only get one, or two parts, the car'd look ugly =(

Hey everyone, so today I was walking back to my car after my uni exam, and I noticed that the lower part of my E36 bumper has been damaged. It's nothing too major I think, one foglight cover has been popped out, and the center of the lip has been split. I'll post pics below in a second, but I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to fix this easily? I just had this exact same problem on the passenger window of my E36 as well, and I went in to see Glenn at Botany Motor Worx. My regulator was actually kind of bent out of place, however Glenn was awesome and was able to help bend it back to nearly 100% and then just replace the clips. Glenn did mention that replacing the whole regulator would be around the $400 range so I don't think the other people were messing you around too much, but whether or not your window requires an entire regulator replacement is another thing ... But yes, like the others said - check out the forum sponsors =)
