    Thanks :)

I'm going with the staggered setup that Apex recommended me:
    18" Staggered:
    F: 18x9" ET30 (Profile 3) - 235/40-18
    R: 18x9.5" ET35 (Profile 3) - 265/35-18

So I'm hoping it looks like it does on that M3.

ETA is about 6-8 weeks. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for a good deal on tyres to fit them.

Nice! You will have to upload some photos when you get them on the car. What tyres are you looking at?

Bad new for you Qube :(

If you're still interested, email the Speedfactor guys, they seem pretty good to deal with.
Just tell them I referred you and you're the guy that wanted the 19s. If you're really keen for that colour maybe just order silver and get someone in NZ to re-finish them. Will probably be expensive though.

I'm going ahead with my order...

Found this pic of a black M3 with similar setup (just wider), which has me thinking I'm making the right choice

100% your making the right choice they look soooo sexy. What size wheels did you end up getting?

Hmm I suppose I'd better get myself a customs Client Code. Did a bit of reading and it's required for anything over $1k.

Chasing up speedfactor.co.nz for a quote again, because they still haven't replied.

I have a Client Code your more than welcome to use, I might be keen on getting a set as well. Maybe we could try get somewhat of a Group buy going?

  5. Yes same box just different bell housings. I have heard of people cutting the front part off then getting the front part of a v8 bell housing (from a auto box) then having it welded on to the rest of the bell housing. They also run plates from the front of the bell housing to the rear so its quite strong. Just an idea! :)

  6. The fitment of the Fenix radiator its self wasn't to bad. It was more the electric fan and fan shroud that was a real pain in the ass to make fit. If I had my time again I would have just got a z3m radiator (Part Number:17112227281) and then made brackets to mount the fan. In your case I wouldn't worry about the electric fan just keep the clutch fan.

I did some research on this topic as would like a new exhaust for the M3 at some point. I thought the UUC RSC36 sounded nice and so do the Eisenmann sport and race mufflers. Sadly both are expensive options coming in at around $1000USD for a catback system.

Is that price include shipping GST ect?

The manual has been surpassed by the the DCT, it changes quicker and still gives the driver control. I am a bit nostalgic re the manual transmission but technology moves on and having driven a number of DCT boxes now I appreciate how good they are. The M5 promises to be a really good as it will finally break the 4 second barrier as its almost guaranteed to be 4WD. The new 550i will do it in under 4 which makes it theoretically faster than the outgoing M5.

I agree with you on the DCT boxes. But there is something about rolling though the gears in a manual, :)

Why not just make manual an option and those of us who want it can have it!

only the 520d/520d xDrive  appears to be available with a manual trans... pass.

Yeah its a shame, How ever they haven't released the specs on the m5 yet. So there is still hope but highly unlikely I would think

I like it, very nicely proportioned.

It does seem already dated, but in a good way... reminds me of 5 series of old for some reason.

Agreed, Its like a modern take of an old look. I like it very much! :)
