What's the story on the Le Mans blue car? I'd be interested
-
Thanks for that info, interesting stuff.
I'm looking for a 1994/95/96 R100R if anyone knows of one.

Never seen a Mk5 golf and a lotus look so good!
Haha, took me a while to get that. Been a while since I've updated the cars section of my profile!

Out of interest why the need to swap bodies? Is that easier than getting the M3 back to production spec?
-
Cool thanks

Does anyone know why most E36s have what I would essentially call a T-Shaped gear selector for the auto but some have the more traditional knob shape? Is there any other linked variance?

Re abs removal
It's because the e36 abs gets a symptom call 'ice mode' unexpectedly during exteme driving. This causes material brake fade and with race speeds often crashes. I know one targa car who went off with it and a reputable BMW driver who put his car off the track with it. As a result, for consistent braking, it's been disabled since the car was built and will be removed soon for weight saving.
If the car was a e46, or other, I would defiantly leave it on or have it on a switch. Just the way it is.
Does this happen to all E36s? Is it only under long term hard use or could happen any time during track use?

If it is still being updated, E46 CSL and E9 3.0 CSi here.

Of course none of those rules really work

I seriously considered entering an E36 320i because it would be a lot of fun. Sadly the power to weight ratio would be no where near competitive with b18c Integras and 4AGE Levins. I think the BMW race series needs to introduce a new class for E36s with the same stock type rules for 2k Cup cars. 328i's out there tearing it up!

Seems I may have killed this a bit so I'll get back on the positive track.
Happily married for over a year now and enjoying having a team mate for life.

Fair enough, good to know!

I actually quite like big GT style coupes. The Maser certainly isn't a sports car to drive (not in 4.2 proper auto spec anyway) but it meets most needs, looks good, sounds good, is comfy and not slow.
-
Ah, that doesn't sound good! Was it fixed in later models?
-
Good stuff, what car will you be in do you think?
-
Why remove the ABS? Surely on anything but gravel it is a help not a hinderance?

I have a MkV and am quite a fan, but I definitely wouldn't buy a cheap one.

Mm Maser GTs are nice.

Yeah, mainly thinking more about the M3. Apparently the post facelift cars were quicker, yet I haven't seen anywhere what changes may have caused this.
-
I know that it was just an example, but a 458 feels pretty damn special not matter what speed you are "exploiting" it at.

So almost entirely aesthetic and no major mechanical differences?

Hi guys, the Ferrari Owners Club NZ are doing a charity run for the Gastro Intestinal Cancer Institute of NZ with some epic cars in attendance.
I'll be driving the 575 for those who may be interested in a cheaper ride, but the Enzo or LaFerrari would be a once in a lifetime thing!- 4

Hi all, I'd love any more info people have on these if possible. Does anyone know if they were all converted to RHD or just some? Who did the conversions? Are the European spec? Anyone know exact numbers?
