I am now selling my NZ new E30  318, as I have purchased my next project, advertising here before I list it on Trademe

I have done a substantial amount of work to this car over the last two years

Heres a list, prior  to my buying the car, had a reconditioned M42 motor fitted, extractors, I have replaced the complete exhaust system, upgraded the front brakes, with six cylinder calipers & vented brake discs, has new rear brake discs & pads, new rubber brakes hoses, has basket weaves with near new tyres, blue tooth stereo & new speakers, recoded drivers door lock, central locking now works, new engine mounts, gearbox mounts, colour coded mirrors, new sway bar drop links & bushes, front & rear, Monroe shocks all round, replaced chipped windscreen, I also imported, colour matched & fitted a fibreglass sunroof panel, no rust !!

Have also done the speedo gears

I have had the car certified for the engine upgrade & bigger brakes

Has a brand new WOF & Registration

Engine oil & Filter was replaced two weeks ago 

This car is fantastic to drive, as far as I am aware there is nothing to do to this car, get in, drive & enjoy it, like I have

I know this car well & I brokered the deal for the current owner to buy & have done some work on it

Very nice, straight & original car, almost the twin of mine

All NZ new cars did not come with dog leg box, this is an OZ import, has dog leg box,also has all the smog gear etc on it

Great result, it had me buggered for a while, trying to figure out what had changed!!

Check the lug nut length, I just had an issue with an E28, that had 5 mil longer ones & made a similar noise??

Interesting read!!, I have an E30,318 with an M42 swap, previous owner, a member on here, did an interesting mod, slotted the inlet cam, made an adaptor on his lathe, in his garage & runs the rotor & distributor cap, off the inlet, ca, doing away with modifying, adapting ECU & wiring looms

I have purchased an Mtech one steering wheel, needs to be recovered, any recommendations?? I see you can buy kits & you need to sew them on, looks like hard work!!

I am going to do the centre console & sunglass container, yours looks great, very clean, was it expensive??

I am replacing both headlight gaskets, removed the cheap shitty Angel Eyes,replaced both taillights, & boot lights, will also replace the exterior window trims, badly sun faded!, so mine is a work in progress!!

If you want the reproduction fabric by ASC (which is as far as I can tell indistinguishable from the OE fabric), made with the same alcantara perforated the same way, same cloth base layer etc (https://www.ascfabrics.com/product-page/mtexture). With that being said, I would be cautious only replacing the bases for instance. You would probably want to do the whole seat, if not both front seats. The reason being that the alcantara goes quite gray over time from UV and the colour difference in the new stuff would be obvious. From memory yours was in pretty good shape so it might be a decent match, worth getting a sample though. It came out of the car seen in this video at about 120,000k when it was binned :

Awesome work Harper, loving what you are doing !! I own the LSB M3 with Mtex interior, do have any of the material ,or know where I can get some, dont need it right now, but would be great to have some spare?? The drivers seat base wears quite badly!!

They are staggered, 255/ 35/18 rears & 8.5 inch rims
Fronts are 225/4018 & 8 inch wide
I can’t see the offset on the rims has IS37 rear & IS34 front??
