  1. That's super helpful advice thank you for stopping me from wasting 350 bucks! Did you end up getting a better intercooler? Did you notice any performance gain?
  2. Does anybody have any experience with these? Seems really cheap I don't know much about intercoolers to be fair. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1295278657
  3. My e91 has been lowered on Eibach pro springs. There is a lot of wear on the inside of the rear back tyres and before I replace them (expensive exercise), I'm wondering if there is a camber kit anyone can recommend getting that will decrease negative camber for even tire wear? Appreciate your help!
  4. Welcome Bryan. Was nice to meet you and the 130 on Sat. I'm sure we'll see you again soon.
  5. Came out of my e91. Monitor part is in good working order, has a little bit of haze on the outside can hardly be seen when installed. Could be cleaned up with the right product. $50 shipping not included
  6. I'm not sure if this has been shared before (if it has apoligies) but I did this to my car the other day reffered to as the golf tee mod. By unpluging the actuator in the trunk it apparently opens the flap in the left exhaust. Took 2 seconds and it sounds great at lower rpm along with the alpina gearbox flash on the downshift. I didn't get any errors pop up on the dash. Here's the link if you want to try it. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80661 Sound clip of startup with acutuator unplugged. I didn't have a sound clip of the standard setup but most owners would know what theirs sounds like on startup. IMG_1326.MOV
  7. Interesting! I wonder if there is a way to sneak it past customs. There is also the issue of separating the ring gear from the old diff. I'd be interested to know what I am in for money wise, before commiting. Now to see if my car has the e-diff.....
  8. Thanks! I did read about the e-diff. Admittly I haven't tried it but I will before deciding to purchase a mechanical LSD. I have read a few stories about turning DSC off completely so I'm not keen on trying it.
  9. I am looking at purchasing an LSD for my 2008 e91 335i. From what I have been reading any 3 series made after March 07 has a welded ring gear which needs to be removed and then attached to the new diff. A few questions I have is: Who has installed an LSD and who did you use to install it? I am in Wellington but if there is no one down here to do it would take it to Auckland to have installed. Do you have any idea of cost to install? Has anyone installed an Mfactory one? I see that they are reasonably cheaper than a Wavetrac I have tried searching threads but it always comes back with nothing found. I know there is info on threads as I have seen some in the past but can't find them (I know I'm a bit useless) so if you can help me use the search funtion or help with my questions in this thread it would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Saw this while I was in NP last weekend. Very nice looking car.
  11. Thanks, pretty reasonable then. Cool looking wagon you've got there! Now to see what kind of diff I have....
  12. Steve, what did your wavetrac + install cost? I would love to get one as the tires I have on are premium but still not enough to get all the power down.
  13. Agree 400 hp is mental and putting all the power to the ground is difficult. I keep getting wheel spin. An LSD might be worth the investment. It is nice to have that much power for overtaking but isn't always necessary.
  14. John, I bought a 335i touring M sport in Feb after having owned Audi's for most of my driving history. Fantastic car for the price range in terms of performance and interior fitout. Mine has had a number of performance upgrades to it like down pipes, pod filter upgrade, gearbox tune, cobb accessport tune the list goes on. Intercooler and catch can hasn't been done. And the reason I always buy wagons is for the space for loading all my kids stuff! It's very fast. The previous owner thought it might be 420hp at the crank but it was never put on the dyno to verify. Basically it was built to the same spec of one that ran 420hp. It had had the walnut blast done before I purchased it so I can't tell you much about that. If you would like to come and have a look at it, you're more than welcome. I could take you out for a run and you can see the performance for yourself. I'm in Newlands.
  15. I have begrudgingly bought one. The cheeky bugger who sold me the car held on to it and listed it on trademe. The excitement of buying a new car got to me which means I didn't check that this was missing.
  16. Hey there, I just got an estimate off NZ Post: Parcel Post Tracked is: 17.00 Courier 29.40 and Courier with signature is 35.40 I won't know exact cost until I take it in to send it but based on previous experience it's pretty close
  17. Came out of my e91 all parts are from a jap import which means jap nav and radio frequency. All in good working order. The monitor has a little bit of haze on the outside can hardly be seen when installed. Could be cleaned up with the right product. $350
  18. For sale OEM BMW tail lights that have come off my 335i touring (wagon). In Excellent condition no scratches cracks or marks. All lights work properly have recently replaced them with some aftermarket lights. $350
  19. You don't happen to want to sell you retractable cargo blind by any chance??
  20. For sale are these smoked LED tail lights currently on my 2008 E91. I purchased the vehicle with these on them but have decided to revert back to the standard ones. $250 I'll send anywhere in NZ for free. Features: Ultra bright LED indicators Hi-flux LED Plug and play to standard light fittings Lights are in great condition and work with no problems. I do however get an error on the dash saying that the turn signal is not working. This happens when switching the car on then disappears. All lights work: turn signals, reverse, park, brake and reverse and the car has been issued with WOF with lights installed. I haven't tried to fix the error as I have no intention of keeping them. I'm sure the error could be fixed or coded out.
