  1. Im only doing the indicators front and back and the brake lights. By the sounds of things its going to be too hard to stop the hyper flashing without resistors so Im just going to use them on the indicators and then get hybrid to recode the lcm to stop the check brake lights warning. I just need to figure out a good place to mount the resistors for the rear indicators thats not going to burn or melt anything haha. Im in auckland.
  2. Right... resistors all round then haha
  3. Im looking to do the same thing to my E39. Have a look at jlevistreetwerks.com but theres heaps of other places. Im trying to do it without resistors by recoding the LCM with the help of another member. I know you can stop the error codes this way but not sure yet if you can stop the indicators hyper flashing. Ill keep you posted
  4. Just discovered today while trying to remove 3M tape residue that De-solv-it is the business on tar stains. Had these damn stains for 6 months and hadn't been able to get them off and they came off in 2 seconds with De-solv-it and I barely had to put in any elbow grease.
  5. Is this something you can do Josh?
  6. Ahh I see. So if thats the case, can the LCM be recoded to change the flash rate of the indicators and stop the hyper flashing you get when LED bulbs are installed?
  7. Hi all, For the life of me I can't find any info on where the flasher relay for the indicators is hiding on an e39. Im wanting to swap it out for a different one so that I can change my bulbs to LEDs without using resistors. Do e39's even have a flasher relay or are the indicators controlled by the LCM in this model? The fact that I cant find any info on it leads me to believe that this is the case. Any info would be much appreciated.
  8. Is that us or uk ebay? The ones Ive seen on there are like $100 and the shipping was that again.
  9. Anyone know where to buy one of these? They were for sale on trademe a little while ago but dont seem to be now.
  10. As per title, Im after a the M lip spoiler off an e39. Can anyone help me out?
  11. Sweet got mine, now the next thing will be getting a booking along with 450 other people haha
  12. Are these the Beyern ones or something else that actually look like LM's? Very keen on some.
  13. I know, but I'm not prepared to bore the centres. I'm only interested in a genuine e39 fit. Maybe one day it will happen, haha.
  14. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-335244614.htm These are e38 fitment but they may fit e34, you'd need to check. Would look bloody good in their original finish, I wish I could find some for my e39!
  15. Id like to do this as well. Are you saying that it's hard to find a match already painted, or hard to match even if you get it resprayed?
  16. Just saw this. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0
  17. I guess it's not such a mission... Consider yourself PM'd.
  18. I agree with you about the brushed aluminium, it looks great. Definately what ill be doing if I don't do black, just wouldn't mind having something a little different. I've tried to find a set but it's a mission, plus i should imagine it's way cheaper to wrap my current trim. I actually saw a set done in black suede, the same as on the M seats, looked surprisingly good, just can't help thinking about a tackey themed hotel room haha. So im guessing matte black would look similar if not better.
  19. Gotta get rid of the wood grain, so... businessman. I'm thinking wrapping it in matte black could be cool, something different to the standard silver, however it could make it look like cheap plastic (which it is), and I could imagine fingerprints would be a bitch. Has anyone seen an e39 interior in matte/satin black? Ive looked for pics but can only find piano black and I'm definately not a fan of that. Also how much does wrapping cost, shouldn't imagine it would take too long or use much product?
  20. Says it's MPEG4 on dynavin.com. It also says optional, so I'm guessing you need to buy the add on.
  21. So Prestige Audio's response to me having a look at the unit for my 5 series in person was to send me a photo of it installed in an X5. Great... I think I'm just going to go ahead and get it, this is the only system that looks OEM enough for me, i guess ill just have to harden up about the ugly screen location. Just waiting now to find out for sure if NZ bought ones have digital tv tuners built in. If not, Im saving myself $300 and getting it from the states. Prestige Audio are charging $1299 by the way.
  22. Im just waiting to hear back from Prestige Audio in regards to having a look at the e39 model in person. In the photos it looks very... 90's. Not to mention the ugly gap at the top. I really want one of these so I hope it's as good as the e46 version.
  23. 235/45 R 17 Front 255/40 R 17 Rear
  24. Perhaps (ish) should have been in capitals. These are about $1000 per wheel right? Im looking to spend around $500 per tyre or less. Has anyone used Eagle F1 Asymmetric?
