Hi there,

I have an E39 530i 2001 with I believe a ZF transmission. Gave the car a wash this morning with pressure washer. Went to go to the warehouse and it shifts very badly. Clunked into reverse and then started slipping in 3rd gear. Gave it a scan with generic scanner and got code P0733 which is Incorrect gear ratio for 3rd. Any ideas? It was shifting perfectly before the wash as I had drove it this morning. Seems odd that it would do this right after washing it. 

That’s my one, going overseas so just looking for an easy sale. 5 just a guess! Probably less in reality.

I bought it off NZ_InFerno’s brother in law I believe about 2 years ago

About a quarter tank. No split in the intake boot. Will check fuel pump/relay. Thanks

Hi all, 

I have a 2002 e39 530i. I had not driven it for a month or so and when I went to start the car it would crank, start, then immediately die again. Scanned it and got P0102 (low voltage for MAF). Unplugged maf/cleaned maf- same result. Any ideas where to start ?

Sounds like the hydraulic lifter thing, anyone had to deal with this?

Usually happens if you have been doing short drives. Take it for a blast on the motorway and the tick should go away.

I'm still after some style 208m rims if any one has them lying around. Also where does everyone go to get tires fitted & balanced ? Hyperdrive seems to be the cheapest at $28 per wheel but I've only called around 5 or so places.

Was looking on Facebook marketplace and found a manual conversion kit from an E90 320i. Have confirmed the gearbox would fit. Just wanting to know if any modifications would need to be made to driveshaft etc.

ZF OE kit from FCP etc and Penrite ATF BMV (based on Ford Falcon's ive done with the same box). Probably other brands of fluid that meet the spec but Penrite is easy and cheap to get locally.

Thanks for that, how much fluid will I need roughly?  Keep seeing different recommendations online.

Looking at buying some Style 193 rims and just wanted to double check if the fitment would be alright for the 130i. I can see in that trademe post M3AN posted above that they look to fit fine. Wanting to see if there's anything I should know before purchasing. Thanks.

Hi all, 

Bought this ballast  to fix my headlight but turned out to be a bulb. Has been plugged in to test but other than that pretty much brand new. Photo from the website I got it from. I'm guessing it will fit all 1 series xenon headlights but best to check for yourself.
