Whats the way to go? Which one gives more power, which one will be better with insurance companys, which ones do you think look better nyho? details on all this would be great, cheers guys
-
Im not in it for the power, its the baddass look of an black e30 thats made me go through with this My dad and i kinda stopped taking pics halfway through, but ive got pics of the most important things. Came across no real problems, apart from not being able to turn the engine over to undo the torque plate bolts, so took the head off to do that in the end. (near new e30 head for sale, 2,600k done on it.) and difficulty with getting torx head bolts off. At the mo my old engine is out, and my new one, (ive painted the block black, and rocker black with brushed aluminium bmw logo) is sitting there ready to go in tomororw, Gave the engine bay a well needed water blast with some degreaser, looks P.I.M.P now. seeing as im sitting here ill see what pics i can give you guys

Thought SKOM was pretty awesome, good insight into such an influencial band, wether you wanna admit it or not And Anthony Kiedis' book is great, would recomend everyone reads it, even if you dont like the chilis

First off, my replacment engine, without a new coat of paint.

Finally my engine swap is underway. My uncle who bulids all crazy sorts of stuff in his spare time (planes, dragsters etc) has come over to help me with it. $500 for a new engine a few weeks back, a few cans of degreaser and its come up nice. tomorrow i think(?) im painting the block black, and then doing the rocker as is seen in ollies sticky. Tonight we simply took out the induction, radiator and distrubutor, and next time we attack it the aim is to get it ready to lift. i have taken a few pics, but i gotta do an english eassy first. Will post back soon, tomorrow at the latest

Ive never made a website before, and i dont know how to make something look professional, id just strongly suggest to get rid of everything that flashes or moves, as has already been said. And as for the background, change it to a colour that isn't so hard on the eyes. Thats why i closed the window, i got a headache :banghead:

Once again this is constructive, and not meant to offend. in all honesty it dosn't look professional. i wouldn't trust the site. this may just be me, but i thought it was worth bringing up. Also, the white background makes it incredibly hard to focus and read what your selling, it hurt my eyes and i gave up and closed the window, not something you want potential customers doing ...just my 2 cents other than that i thought it was well set out and presented, great job for a first try!

Power handling 45w RMS, 135w peak 12" Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer Polypropylene woofer cone, 1000watt max, not sure of RMS Will post pics if there is interest. Make a reasonable offer.

I would like to paint the chrome black on my car, but my (quick) search on google didn't help at all. It wont be happening for a while as many more important things need to happen first (engine put in, warrented etc) but if i find out the imformation now, makes things easier when i get round to doing it Can someone give me a link, or give me the general idea of the way you'd go about doing this? Once again, cheers guys
-
I really just cant understand why. stupid people should not be allowed to have nice cars. look what happens...
-
Yeap, one motor out, fluids etc done to new one, put the new one in. also just found out that the motor ive brought isn't a "turn key" one. now need to take parts off my old engine such as induction and fan to put on it. did i fix a hyrolized engine the hardest way possible? :banghead:

I have my engine lined up for my swap, and due to the fact that i do not have an engine lifter, or experianced knowledge on swapping an engine, i got a quote from the mechanic who has done all the work on the car i have brought. This quote totalled $930. this includes the labour involved in the engine swap, and a service for the engine. Is this reasonable? i was thinking more like $400-$500. This swap needs to be done. any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed. Once again, cheers guys Ryan
