  1. It has been a very slow drip, took over a month for it to drop below the minimum on the dipstick so you could be on the money with that. Definitely not ATF as well. Everything in that engine bay has been a pain lol, take something off and the plastic just disintegrates
  2. Engine seized up as engine ran out of oil (no dashboard warnings) and was only 6k after last oil change (stick gave me 10k ) Mechanic replaces car engine long block (6k - first mistake of mine but didn't have the time to go through looking for a new car etc). Get car back and once home check the engine bay and it looks like it got bukaked with all the white stuff inside the bay. Next day driving to get lunch and car shts itself as per coolant leak photo. Mechanic picks it up on tow truck. Get car back a few days later says something was loose all good now. few days later have oil spots on my driveway where I've parked, it's dropping from the transmission area. Mechanic said not sure where the leak is coming from and that they'll have to take it apart (at my cost) but that it's not a great time (was December 16th) - Said to monitor oil levels and bring back next year. Continue to drive and monitor the oil. Oil drops every single day wherever I park for a while after driving then stops, constantly check oil level and it's not dropping? take it to transmission specialist (see photo of their works/description) check oil level after they've done that work and it's showing bone dry, put 500ml in and it's just above the bottom amount. Finally get it back to original mechanic in February - Says leak is coming from between the transmission and the new long block they put in. Absolute shot in the dark but any lightbulbs shining of what it could be? Any idea of my legal standings if I take this guy to small claims (he said I'll have to pay for these repairs as well)

    Quick Questions

Make: BMW Model: 120i (really 118i) Year: 2011 Chassis: f20 Hi guys, just failed my WOF. Was looking for the "Left rear bump stop" in RealOEM but am unable to figure out what exactly the WOF report is saying. Any ideas?
  5. Cheers for that mate, guess I'm gonna have to look to change the control unit or driver module
  6. Unfortunately mate, trying to keep her up and running until I've got a mortgage. Might be heading back to your shop for a few buys sometime soon 😂
  7. Cheers mate. Also, do you have the halogen or xenon? I thought I had the halogen as those were the lamps that 'fit my vehicle' when putting in the info on supercheap/repco.. come to find it has these headlamps but also has what I think is the vertical aim controller which is only for halogens?? maaan I'm getting more and more confused lol.
  8. How much did that set ya back? think I'll have to go this route
  9. My headlights started to get condensation a few months ago. But, they'd always clear up during the day and I read online that they were mad to vent? recently they've begun to stay fogged up/condensated and I've been hit with the "Headlight vertical aim control failure" and just a few minutes ago for the first time "Dipped right beam failure". As you can see in the picture one is fine and one is bad, they were both bad until I had some work done and they had to remove the light and put it back in, but again it's starting to get more condensation build up. Anyone ever have a similar issue that they were able to solve? I got two quotes for new headlights and it was about half the cost of the car so I'm hoping not to go down that route.
  10. Thanks for that, i'll be sure to use realoem going forward. Also, do you know the name of the other 2 parts that I can't identify? And although my car is a 2011 120i f20 but realoem doesn't have that option, and when running my rego into supercheapauto it automatically puts it as a 118i f20 so i'm really confused lol Edit: Ran the vin and it's a 118i even though it has 120i on the car and registered as such lol
  11. Hey guys, First time ever trying to learn anything about cars and do some things myself, so I apologize if this is really obvious/dumb sh*t to ask. I've found the air intake pipe replacement, but i'm unsure of the other circled things in the pictures and where to get them, if anyone could assist me that'd be really appreciated.
