I just installed some new wheels on my E46, and when I put the car in reverse , it made a weird noise and the left rear of the car raised a little bit before coming to a stop. ( video explains better - )

Wouldn't you rather just get adjustable coilovers at that point if you're replacing the shocks anyway? I was considering lowering springs mostly as a cheaper way to get a drop in ride height

Been looking at purchasing a 6-cylinder e46 recently, but most listings on TradeMe are automatics and the manuals are generally priced out of my budget. How much would it cost to convert an automatic to a manual approximately? this seemed like a far better option to me as ill most likely be able to find an automatic that hasn't been thrashed too much in its past and is in good shape.
