Mine seems to sit at 10.0l/100kms for combination of motorway and having fun.

Not sure if anyone has used these guys: https://runautoparts.com.au, but just bought a 4 pack of Mann oil filters and 2 x cabin filters for about $130 delivered. Seemed really good value compared to other sites. Delivery took about a week

Hi Jacko, I renewed my insurance with AMI in April, and paid around $850 based on agreed value of $8k, so pretty similar to yours, taking the different agreed values into account.

Hey all, I had to remove the rear bench seat (to retrieve my daughter’s earring 🙄), and came uncross a random, unconnected wire. Does anyone know what this would be for? Or is it a redundant connector for an option I don’t have? Cheers Andy

After I did this, I started to get a misfire and engine warning light came on. Ended up needing new coil packs (some appeared to be second-hand replacements, so decided to replace them all with Delphi units). Thanks to @HELLBM for helping me out with a quick replacement of the coil packs and great service. Cheers

Thanks for everyone's input. I removed/cleaned the Vanos solenoids yesterday, and despite them not looking too bad, the throttle response is now much sharper. An easy job to do in the end; thanks YouTube!

Any recommendations on a good OBD2 scanner, without breaking the bank?
-
Thanks guys. Yes, no errors or codes coming up on the dashboard, but don’t have OBD scanner to check codes more deeply. May need to book it in for a proper check.

My car feels like it’s developed a slight loss of power, low down in the rev range. Seems to bog down between 1,500 and 2,000 rpm, then goes fine after that. Engine sounds fine, and no engine management lights on the dashboard. Has anyone had a similar issue, or know if this is an indication of a problem? Cheers Andy

Big shout out to Ray @HELLBM and Brian @ Coast Auto Electrix (Orewa) for helping me out with the replacement battery on my 130i. Great service from Brian, who sourced the correct battery, installed and coded it, all for a very reasonable price. Would recommend these guys, if you're in the Hibiscus Coast area.

Thanks @HELLBM. I’ll stick it on charge, and come and see you tomorrow. Any time work best for you?

I need to replace the battery in my 2007 E87 130i. Any recommendations? Does anyone have the kit to code the new one too (I don’t have anything to do this). I’m based in Silverdale. Cheers Andy

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, and new to BMW ownership. Just bought a 2007 130i (not sure if anyone knows this one?). Seems to be in great condition, and just the usual oil leaks that seem to be pretty common for BMW's! Looking forward to putting some kms on it, and enjoying the banter on here. Cheers Andy

Hi, I've just bought my first BMW, a 2007 E87 130i. Where is the best place to buy consumables, such as filters (including cabin filter) etc.? I'm based in Auckland. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers Andy
