  1. Recommendations? Should be iPod specific and be able to control the iPod from the head-unit. Don't want anything that goes in the boot or the like. Glovebox would be ok.

    Look forward to hearing from y'all.

    For the record, likely to go into a 1998 Audi A3 1.8 turbo sport.

    Do you have an ipod video and want to be able to play movies etc aswell?

  2. Car:

    2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4

    Description:

    This is the first Bugatti Veyron to be wrecked on the streets. It is the fastest and most expensive production vehichle in history, list price about $1.6 million. (US)

    Well OBVIOUSLY someone was going to write it off on the STREETS arent those things supposed to be destined for things like autobahns? Thus the massively wide stance etc

    You would have to be nuts to drive one of those on a residential street. Especially some of those side st's in th UK.

    Pwnd

  3. Ray used to work out of home (hobby turned business) when he was up by the Caltex, then he moved house to down by KFC and moved the business to Bavarian on the shore.

    I was not aware that he moved from that road up by Caltex. In you saying he moved down by KFC it must be his house you saw.

    I guess you will be in and out though, see you Winter, and make sure you abuse Sparkle. LOTS

  7. You have a pre-f/l 320 motor with dizzy down the side of the block, right Chris? Can't remember right now what you had.. :wacko: The older 320 motor didn't have the revcounter pickup on the HT lead like the later ones have, it gets it's signal from the control box I think. Will check for you.

    I have had a couple of rev-counters die on me before, may just be the gauge itself.

    The light working intermittantly wouldn't have had anything to do with the rev counter, it is on the same circuit as the speedo light.

    Will

    Yup pre f/l 320.

    The light seems to f**k with me whenever i do oil changes etc. Just randomly comes on when i bump a wire (dont know what wire :D) not worried about that. Just want to know my revs!

    Checked the guage Will, it works in my parts car, started it up with the VDO from my car and it was sweet. Must be the pickup somewhere.

    There are alot of brittle wires in my engine bay, i wouldnt be surprised if one had snapped"?!

  8. I assume you're talking 'aftermarket' Tacho here [the shiftlight clue]

    All aftermarket rev counting devices [Tachometers, Limiters,Shift lights etc] have 3 main wires

    Red = Switchable power [ignition]

    Black = Earth

    Green = Negative side of coil [signal]

    White = to instrument lights [Tachos sometimes have a 4th wire]

    Wire to Gearbox??? I assume you meant Flywheel

    ps. the above works commonly with single coil ignitions

    Nup talking about stock VDO, i dont do ricer "monsta tacho's auh"

    Haha its going into the VDO specialist tomorrow. Been having problems with overloading in the electrical dept so im just going to get the pros to look at it.
