  1. okay cheers guys, will do that josh, rang them today and im going in on monday to let them look at the car. Its still drivable but i have to pick my time so i dont get caught in traffic, radiator has a bit of damage, towbar went straight through the kidney grille. gutted, at least they reckon it;; only take em about 4 days depending on if they need to order sh*t frm germany. so thats good, im used to having it take like 2 months lol, god damn Hawaii 5-0  i just hope precision are good at colour matching <_<

  2. gutted. i put this in my ride thread but no-one replied, i need the number for precision autowerke. I want to nominate them as the repairers as the guy who hit me was driving a company vehicle and most of the repair costs... (first 2500) are coming from his pocket. I want him to pay big time so that he can actually realise driving like a cock has consequences.

    Cheers

    Chris

  3. PWND... ratshit, got reversed into this afternoon after picking my car up after some suspension mods. Brand New Holden Crewman sideswiped a rav4 then reversed into me. They are paying so all good. Should get back before new years or so i hope. Towbar went through the kidney grill and bottom of the tray raped my bonnet.

Anyone that is well aquainted with precision autowerke could you please pm as i would like to nominate them as the repairers.

Oh and Gus i txt you but i also need one of your recon'd p steering racks if you still got em'

  4. Alrighty, since our cruise on saturday my car has been vibrating like a bitch when i get to over 100 kmph. It does it slightly up to 100 kmph. I have checked all my tyres, flipped my rear ones (I have to for the camber wear) all four wheels have since been balanced but i havnt had a wheel alignment done just yet.

I have just installed new lower control arm bushes and have just ordered new adjustable swaybars links and nolathane mounting bushes. My swaybar looks to be pushing forward more than it normally would (pushing through the standard rubber so its almost metal on metal.) I was suspecting this to be my problem.

I have checked my rear shock mounts etc and have seen no wear there. I had my whole suspension system checked out by autoalign but they (nor me) can figure out what the hell this vibration is. Could it be my swaybar? Should i just get a wheel alignment? (even though in theory they can only align the front?) Could it be my halfshafts are bent?

I have no idea atm what it could be so if anyone could shed some light on this subject it would be highly appreciated. I have alot of long distance driving to do over summer so id like to get it all fixed!!

    Cheers

    Chris

  5. I have been looking at beefing up my swaybar, am running the 19mm 320i one at the moment, and have the larger one in my parts 325i, was looking at swapping them over and have run into a hurdle. I need to source swaybar brackets and bushed but so far i havn't found any suppliers in NZ. Noltec, Urethane and Nolathane don't make them anymore so was looking at the ireland engineering option below

    https://secure15.nexternal.com/shared/Store...=products%2Easp

Would i be better off just using the 22mm?? swaybar that is in the 325 and just use new bushes etc or would there be a drastic difference (for the better) if i bought that ireland engineering one?

Also, I did the lower control arm bushes in Nolathane yesterday, big improvement on the standard bushes. I'd reccommend this upgrade to anyone that cares about their E30's suspension.

One more thing, does anyone know of an engineer or turner that could make me some hubcentric bolt on spacers?

  6. You have to have power, so unless you got turbo your going to lose in an E30.

Not really, that isnt entirely correct, you can get some very underpower cars to drift. Just like i said before look at the ae86, 1600 DOCH motor, In a stripped RWD setup will be more nimble and easir to drift than alot of more powerful larger/heavier cars...

Edit: in a drift battle smoke is not really a main judging point, more angle/speed into corners/overtaking or 'drafting' the opposing car while in a drift is what you will gain most of your points on. Basically the bigger angles you get the better points you will acheive. Heavy cars cant do this aswell as the smaller/lighter ones.

  7. Was looking at the ireland engineering page and reading up about some of their kits. How do you guys think this would go? (Those with turbo experience)

    This:

    https://secure5.nexternal.com/shared/StoreF...=products%2Easp

    &

    This:

    https://secure5.nexternal.com/shared/StoreF...=products%2Easp

+ extras like metal head gasket, FMIC + link v2/motec

Would that go like snot?? I see it says the turbo package is designed for standard motors but with the stroker and semi forged internals would this make for a beasty E30?
