Thanks for the response! I'm very good at removal but no so much reassembly. I'd give it a go first If there was someone I could take it to that could fix it up should I make mistakes!

Hey did you manage to get this fixed? I'm having a similar problem. My drivers window you can hear the click when you press the button and it sounds like it's going down on the inside but the glass stays in place. The last time I used it it wound up really very crooked and I had to usher it into place back and forth a few times to get it to sit right. I've very good at dismantling but no so much putting things back together. Is there someone in the Auckland region wanting to make a bit of cash helping me out. Any help would be appreciated!
