I dont think we got to 250, mind you, there were 4 people in it, & jeff was giving this thing stick, wore out three sets of tyres in as many days & was purposly getting it as sideways as much as he could at the end of the straight!!, it was a buzzHe did the same thing the year before, at Taupo, but then we seemed to spend alot of time in controled side ways travel at a great number of knots

I reckon an M3 would do 250 down the back straight of puke. Yeah, getting close, Ive been down the back straight in a new M3 last year with Jeff Brabham driving, I was hanging on to the passangers seat so didnt have much time to look at the speedo!!!!

& this E34 was "only" doing 160kmh

I'm pretty sure the E31 8 series wheels will have different offset, check this at your local dealership

DTM does look good, can you not go down to auto exhaust & get them to cut your old tail pipe off & weld a twin pipe on!!, I've seen it done & I think it was like $60.00 fitted

My suggestion would be to buy Genuine, not the cheapest option but the best why do I say that? over the years I have seen it time & time again when someone tried to save a few bucks ( Though still expensive, in the case that comes to mind, Gen was $600 & after market was $500 ) & got some aftermarket exhaust instead, only to regret it in a real short time span & in this case, put a genuine exhaust on only after....................wait for it........................3 days!!!! another guy lasted a whole week before wishing he had not got the so called cheaper option !! then there was the third guy who went a full 3 months in all the above, they could not return the new aftermarkets & the who excercise cost like a grand each before finished & I did warn the last guy too !! the reason was noise & booming at odd speeds if you ever get the chance, feel the weight of a gen muffler to 99% of aftermarket & you can see why thats my suggestion any way

see, & if you prang one , they are easy to fix as the old panels just fall off, what more could you ask for??

are you sure its the rear coupling as 9 times out of ten, its the front that plays up infact I have only ever seen one e34 with a rear joint problem & if so, you can get the universal rebuilt, some one like BNT or a drive line specialist will help here but do check that the fault first

$900 on exchange???? whos that troughit cant be from BMW cause they never want your old bumper price genuine , is about this price & you get to keep your old one which I guess you could sell, which would make the whole excercise cheaper again??

true, you guys must be on the net too much to even know about this problem, as it did not effect NZ, it was mainly a UK problem, it wasnt just the V8's ether as someone mentioned, I have a list of effected engines here in my files, I will have a look for it if you like, from memory , it was almost all the engines but the 4cyl & 2L 6 in the mid 1990's

thats right, thats what makes it so good, I remember when the wall came down & the west German powers that be, did a crash test on one & stated that in a frontal impact of only 56kph , the driver had a 98% chance of sustaining life threatening injurys .............wow , thats as bad as a mid 90's Honda Civic :thumbsdown: but the trabi, is way cooler!!

From what I have seen, the w124 is a good car, a bit boring but ok & yes , the new cars from Merc do look a bit asianBMW & Audi have much better looking designs

Thats each but like i said ( Again), theres no bulb holder at that price, thats another $50 odd dollars each, you can buy the unit three ways ,1- just the lamp ( at $145 plus) which is useless as you have no bulb holder or bracket to mount it 2- a complete kit, 3- or the lamp WITH bulb holder & bracket I suggest priceing the kit, it will be around the $400.00 mark, but will have every thing you need this Cam or chromes should know that

if someone borrowed any of my cars & did this, there would be no way in hell they would ever do that again., infact i dont know anyone who would do that in one of my cars in the first place.I think you need new friends!!
