Hi I am asking wether it would be safe ( for the car ) to run 100W white or blue bulbs in my ellipsoid smiles in the e30? I know it has 55W and drawing almost twice the power cant be too good but someone else mentioned they have been running it for a while and its fine. Anything else on the same circuit? Im not doing the full beams, and will only be changing the color on the fogs, not wattage as well. So only the low beams. It would seem logical to uprate fuses but then the wiring might not be ok with more power?? Not sure!!!!! Cheers It needs to look more badass, lacking atm

u sure you need to remove all that for a short shift?? i did it without doing any of that.. would have mad it easier though! but i didnt replace the bush nearest the box. Also how hard is it to do a output shaft seal - getrag 260.. sorry for the thread hijack

Roll the Gaurds. You will know what I mean when you look at the inside of them, they stick down and have a shard edge, rolling will make them smooth and hopefully clear enough room for tryes/wheels.. Also note gaurd rollers MIGHT make your paint chip.. they may not but know this before hand, and person who rolls the gaurds wont pay for this to be fixed!!! But ask them about it etc. Then see how it goes it should fix it, what happens is when the car is low and corners, the tyre rubs when it is turned and the edge of the gaurd sticks down and is sharp hence some tread being left behind, or the car rolls too much when you corner, but spring shock combo should be ok. Get them rolled just ring up panel beaters or tyre shops and see who does it, and you should be ok, doubt a WOF would fail unless its under 100mm or they are very anal and want the wheels certed, or they take it for a test drive. thats very average, and i know how you feel some places take no care, although when i got tyres the other day the place put protectors on the out rim so i was happy, its hard to complain about those things, i wouldnt know how to approach the tyre shop sorry! Write a letter? Would get the message through and get a good response ?

ummm i beleive there is a fuse, but im not fully sure what else (if anything ) is on the same circuit, im pretty sure the speedo is, so maybe your prob is somewhere else, no odo is a win anyway for when you sell it hah

yup its a fuse, ive had the same, but from memory they are different circuits, speedo and odo are on one, (bigger fuse) and headunit, interior lights are on another, (7.5Amp fuse) Also its not hard to work out why it blew after you did a headunit, so just go though and look at all your fuses, if it blows again, check your glove box light, the wires to the bulb short very easily!!!! wrap them up and tape and go without it , its a pain in the ass. yeah bogan spec, low as like cut springs i think and yes ghetto comes to mind, but if your still toyota at heart then i think they may be the wheel for you, and you bimmer, good luck id paint your bottle caps 1st man i think youd be into the look, pretty cool
