hey man, I'm looking at converting my e30, hadnt even thought of going through auctions to buy a wreck and getting all the components out of it. Take it you go to the auctions in aucks? how often do they auction of wrecks?

Hey Hizza bizza, usually the auction up here has a couple of BMWs every week, not always manual e30 though .If you want something in particular PM me and Ill see if I can find it, I work down the road from the auction anyway.

it will also be a hard job trying to find a wrecked m3 anywaere it would cost lots to import ..i dnt even know if ur allowed to import crashed cars?

Yes ,you are allowed to import crashed cars .

Buy a 5 speed car from an insurance auction, you will be able to get a whole car for less than the cost of the parts you need . I have bought 2 e30 from Turners damaged car auctions both for under $1000 , e36 are usually a little more. Ive seen a 93 325 manual hit in the rear sell for $2500 .

Does anyone know how to reset the airbag light in an e39 (1998 523)?

My economy gauge swings from 0mpg to 60mpg but never gives a real reading , any ideas ??? I have fitted new S.I. board & batteries but it didnt help.

where did you get yours from? that sound pretty reasonable....an hour? bear in mind i am the man who took an hour to get my fog lamp out....clever eh?

i was thinking...while my car isnt working might replace my flex disc.....has anyone done this themselves? to be honest it doesnt look very difficult....how much is the part? better get my overalls on.....

bottlecap roundels if they are in good nick.

Andrew ,the only roundels Ive got that are good are steering wheel centres

1. fuel pump relay. long 7 pin relay found under a black plastic cover on left side of engine bay next to air filter box.

2. aerial mast, that the chrome radio mast back left next to trunk lid.

ok instead of adding as i think of stuff...i wrote it down...can i have quotes on the following parts:

drivers door bolt (there is 3 just bolted into the door....im missing one)

rear ashtray

Rear right passenger grab handle

rear left door lever interior surround

radiator clip (little plastic thing that holds the radiator in place)

fuel filter rubber surround (now im just getting picky)

oil cooler radiator, down near the front bumper mine has accident damage

spark plug lead cover

and out of interest

viscous fan clutch?

and does any of the cars have any BMW tools left?

I am wrecking a 88 318 with power steering .Sorry , the rack is still in the car (looks OK) , the pump pulley is bent but pump seems fine ( different engines use different pumps so it only any good to you , if your fitting it to a m40 1.6 or 1.8 engine) 50 bucks and its all yours . ps also wrecking 86 325 , I have heaps of cheap parts for e30s.

I have a 318 for sale . It had a cracked head so I am changing the whole engine, the new engine has only 60 000km on it . Its a grey 1988 4door , Sony CD , AC, PS, PW near new tyres , mint body & interior . I want around $6000 ono.
