  1. Makes sence its Vynal - its still in really good condition. No matter, still looks / feels great!

And I got the parcel tray from Barvarian motors - it was a special request, he'd only ever seen one with no speaker holes...and thats the one. Cant remember what it came from...I just cant stand speakers in the parcel tray...

  2. Thanks for the comments guys, putting alot of effort into this project. As for the parcel tray, I aucutally bought it with no speaker holes, but it was some horrible faded green colour and quite dirty. After a good clean / dry, I dyed it over a few days - it still maintains its fluffyness too.

And I didnt get my seats redone, that's genuine BMW leather from a M325 - Threw away my old stuff.

And yeah I think i'll leave the TSW's on the wheels - looks quite nice.

  3. Well, its been a few months since i've shown anyone what i've been doing, so here are a few shots.

I'll start with the interior - its still a work in progress, and I have only completed the back end of the interior - i'm still working on a custom console with a 7" touch screen in it, and a mini ATX in the glove box.

    Here are the photos!

So overall, i'm really happy with the project. I have:

    Blacked the headlining

Replaced all of the interior including carpet

    Switched to Electric Windows

    and I need to:

    Get caps for the electrics

Get tints redone (booked in on monday)

    Finish centre console

    Replace rails on Seats

    repair dashboard / replace it

    Repaint / some pannel

I'm in the middle of reblacking alot of the outside and inside of the car too, using this awesome blacking dye.

    So that's it for now!

  4. Hyper. I got all my equipment from Hyper. Luke is the guy I was dealing with - really good guy. they do the mean packages too. I got Tints, Wheels, and the best alarm they can install, saved quite a bit. Depending on how the car sits on these new wheels after a few weeks, i'm going to try and go slightly lower in the front.

But yeah, big ups to Hyper.

  5. Hey Guys,

Looks like I have got myself a set of TSW's similar to Hybrid's...so getting rid of my current ones. You can see them in my signature, or more on www.ipwnyou.co.nz (all other parts of the car are out of date on that site :P ). I wont lie, they are curbed on the left hand side pretty well - but with a bit of effort and a file, you an smooth them out no issues. They're not terrible, but its there. They also might need either repolishing (as they are polished) or powdercoating - but either way they could be nice wheels. The tyres on them are less than 6 months old, and have heeeaps of tread left - being a 316 we dont exactly wheel spin - its hard enough trying to get them to move at all!

Not looking for too much - PM what you think you would pay for them.

    Thanks

  6. ipwnyou, I swear your plans keep changing!

    turbo it

Hah my plans always change. But i've already started on this project, so no turning back!

Next is swapping the wheels over for 5 studders and geting me some nice M3 wheels.

  7. If you want performance you're best to go all the way...even picking the right car. BMW arent really in it for performance, unless you're willing to pay big money, or just converting the car into some jap crap turbo anyway - which defeats the purpose of the BMW.

  8. I'm in the middle of rebuilding / reconditioning an M10 1.8 and getting ready to install a turbo. Looking at about a 90hp boost with a bolt on turbo, small intercooler and no injector modifications, running at about 10lb of boost. These engines are nuts, nice with the cam chain ;D

I know there is plenty of room under the bonnet of the E30 for it - you could probably fit a few in there aucutally. The M10 engine sits a little lower than the M40 engine (intake manifold is designed differently). Not sure about the E36 though - but who wants an E36? Turbo E36's are old news.
