I am new to the forum, I have a kiwi new 88 325i manual sedan. Starting to think about doing a few upgrades, currently factory standard. Would like to find an LSD, and possibly new interior. If you don't sell the interior to the guy who asked re the price, I could be interested too.

Going up north this weekend,

So will be doing a few lil things the following weekend.

Have ordered leather handbrake gaiters and one for the shifter when i finally get it installed.

Putting in matte chrome cluster rings, possibly plasti dipping the 325i badge.

I am currently ordering some corner tweeters which are part of the premium speakers i think that sit behind the wing mirrors inside.

I am unsure weather i order premium black rear speakers of ebay as there are heaps for sale but i think il get 6x9 soundstreams at a later date.

I will be getting a window wiper and hopefully another plastic cover for centre of lower apron.

Thats all the little bits atm i can think of which is in the near future to do list.

I just took in my drivers side one and made sure the bolt whole was the same and tickety boo $20 and 5mins scavenging through a bucket ranging from e21-e46

^ you can get any style from the germanplates website.

do note that NONE of these are "LEGAL"

however the plain white background with "NZ" and the fern in black or blue do go "under the radar" of nz police so typically you should be okay.

i guess it goes without saying that andy does not take any responsibility if you choose to put black on white plates or any other variation (including the standard issue esque one) and you may face a fine of $200 as far as i know.

also pays to check your letter/number combination on the germanplate website as ive noticed that some of the letters are quite similar to nz standard issue plates but some are VERY different. like "i" and "j" and "l"..

These are amazing quality and leaves you the choice of swapping between chrome and black grilles or if you just want black at least the paint wont chip off.

Decided to do something productive on my sunday.

SHADOWLINING

I used 3m matt black vinyl wrap which i got off trademe.

Wasnt as difficult as i thought it would be and for my first time i think i did a rather okay job of it.

I bought a euro licence plate filler and put that on.

I also replaced my fog lights with new bulbs.

If anyone want to buy some 3m wrap i have 1 brand new roll left.

I also have one black grille for e30 for sale if anyones interested.

Not sure weather i want racks on or off.

Window tints are booked for 3rd of May

I need to take things step by step so that progression can be made.

There are so many things i want to do but im not really focusing on what i need to do first.

I think next week i will be getting a sump guard so that i dont bottom out my sump when i lower the car eventually.

After that i think i will be building the 4.1 lsd

Will be getting some gaiters for my handbrake and when i do the manual conversion.

Then after little stuff i have to nail one thing at a time.

Suspension, rims painted and wrapped in rubber, manual conversion, rust cut out and colour code bumpers,

And then little things like euro tip exhaust, illuminated shift knob, ecu chip and tune etc...

Must be manual, and prefereably in the Auckland region so i can view/test drive

Lesson learned. Seller not willing to do anything, was "unsure" if it was limited slip or not, although I recall a different tone to the conversation it's my word against his

Lesson #1: NEVER buy parts unless you either know the seller is informed & legit

Lesson #2: If someone offers you an LSD for $70, it's probably not LSD.

Wouldn't have bothered buying it if it wasn't.

Pulled the cover off this afternoon to discover.......

Only reason I bought it was for the LS carrier. really disappointed, the seller was a member on here. Will get in touch with him and find out what the story is before I start making any loud noises.
