  1. This is hot to say the least. White hot. http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2006/f1...p?fromrelated=1
  2. While I have allways been a supporter of buying locally, I have rapidly come to the conclusion that it is not financially viable when it comes to my car. E36 325i I rang up my local dealer today and asked for a P&A on the flex coupling. Was told that it was Ex Germany and the price was $284.77. Bugger!!! :rambo: As I already had this part and some others coming from http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/index.htm I was not overly concerned. Flex coupling, Valve cover gasket set and a couple of plastic trim pannels for less than US$150 including $24 freight. Delivery expected in just over a week from order. I am nothing short of astounded at the obvious price gouging that goes on here in Godzone. I will continue to buy OEM but unless absolutely desperate not locally. If one plans your jobs in advance then there is no reason why buying offshore can't save one plenty of $$$$$$$$.
  3. A couple of things to note here. Water injection even in an N/A enging will boost the output. The reason for this is that when water converts to steam it expands. If you are getting a full burn and as the A/F ratio is controlled the aditional expansion of the water will increase the output. To gain the best effect from water injection. The water needs to be introduced as a very fine mist. Given the 1680 to 1 ratio between the volume steam and water a small amount ,and that is all one can introduce with out putting the fire out can give a significant increase in output. http://www.aquamist.co.uk/ This is a good place to start if you want to learn more about water injection.
