Bullsh!t, you stole that off my site lol.Two-spined spider (Poecilopachys australasiae)
Small spiders, less than one centimetre across. The upper surface of the female's abdomen is yellow and olive with two white horn-like ‘spines' that give this spider its common name. Yellow and white bands and some red-brown markings are also visible. Males are much smaller and lack the distinctive ‘spines' of the female.
Another immigrant from Australia, these spiders have been recorded in New Zealand since the early 1970s. They have become quite common in the upper North Island. Since their arrival, they have slowly spread south and have reached as far afield as Wanganui.
The two-spined spider is often found in citrus trees. By day, the spider will hide under leaves, emerging at night to construct a cart wheel-shaped web. Despite its small size, the spider is capable of capturing moths and other insects several times its own size. As night draws to a close, the spider will recycle its web by eating it. The egg sacs are a distinctive spindle shape.
These spiders are regarded as harmless to humans.
- i wrote all of that
But it at least proves it's a spider and not a crab. Crabs don't have 8 legs

We found a spider...........
It's big and ugly and has two devil horns on it's back, coloured white. The backs are black and the rest of the things body is yellow.
Picture provided. I've never seen one before and would like to know if it can kill a person or not. I'm sure I can find someone to experiment on  *looks at lock*
Picture not cropped for your viewing pleasure

Even non standard stuff will do!

Happy to helpcheers heaps for the help muzzie
If you get it, I'd put a free flow zorst on it to be on the safe side. Always keep an eye on the temp gauge and flush the radiator reguarly. They're good trucks if maintained.
Had one at a place I was working for some time ago - older model but same motor. Had like 400,000 kms on it, smoked like a coal power plant but you couldn't fault it. Damn torquey too. Went for a cruise up Hunua road in it and it went like stink.
Cambelt snapped as I turned into the work driveway again.........
-
It didn't get into the red, but was up there.
It still runs sweet and there aint mayo in the radiator so it at least still got a one piece head gasket
-
Looks good from what i can see lol.Well landcruiser is a bit of the the budget -
i'm test driving and probably buying this one
http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auction...06003&key=16095
Guy seems real honest - has the reciepts for motor work. Needs two front tyres - and i can probably walk away with it for 7000.
Has the 3 ltr motor - manual - diesel SSR-G seems to be a highish spec
according to the VIR it has the 1KZ motor.
Tyres will set you back about 200 each for good road ones. Look for any signs of rust around the rear tail gate - might have been used as a launch vehicle for a boat thats all.
And check the 4x4 works properly, that one has auto hubs and are a right real prick to fix if they jam up.
And do some tight turns in 4x4 mode, the front wheels should 'skid' as it were as they'll be locked up - if it only skids one way then one of the hubs is busted. And check the front CV boots

Being overheated once??
The one i'm looking at buying when it blew the pump it got up and nearly into the red but was then shut down and left for 3 hours to cool down, without having water put in, and was then put on a tow wagon.
Unlikely to have done any damage? Or are they prone for it?

3.0L V6 petrol surfs have weak heads too beware.wow, my mate was going on about 2.4L head problems and how a free flow exhaust is supposed to help.
Landcruisers are good but probably overpriced for what you'd want it for, 3.0L surf be just as good and a bit better on the road as they are independent in the front.
Only thing with toyota is their mega ripoff parts. massive markup on certain bits, up to and over 800% markup over cost.
And while I think about it - stay away from diesel Pajeros and diesel mazdas.
Theres a select few that are ok, but generally they aint terribly reliable.
-
I've tried this, and got the 25mb bit, but 6 months or so later I still haven't got the 250mb

Looks like an early 90s (90-93) Toyota Townace
