Those are the custom seats ive made for the ute. Just some bucket seats moulded over the factory BMW seat skeleton so I can get all the motion and heating that you would from factory seats, but with a "race" feel haha
Holy crap 0_o nice job!

So got the V8 on Friday, and wiring loom. I must admit, this was a little tricky to remove as there was always one more cable, pipe or bracket still connecting the engine to the car, but it came out in the end.
Still busy with the wiring, will be removing at least half of this mess and then make it all pretty again to stick into Rusta.
Hoping to get the car in the garage this weekend and have the engine in place for the custom engine mounts to be made up and also take measurements for the drive shaft etc
What are those seats you've got man?

Finally into the new house and Christmas debacle is over so I've actually been able to start working on extracting the engine/drivetrain from the donor car.
Exhaust is stuffed/rusty as hell and I'll be getting a new 3" one made up in time anyway so I've just cut it off as close to the headers as possible for the time being.
Also sussed a few more bits:
Revshift engine and gearbox mounts, control arm bushes, and their rear subframe package
Also scored an e36 steering rack in good condition. Believe it's from a 318is which I know isn't the most desirable but both my e30 ones are leaking badly anyway.
Lucky enough to have a mate who's a beast mode welder so he's been contracted to make up the turbo manifold, exhaust, install the garagistic reinforcement package and also make up the driveshaft hoops needed for the cert. Pics to come soon

This was on one of the BMW Facebook pages recently and I queried that. Owner assured me it was just a registration error and that 95 was the year it was brought in or something.
Imagine how many times you'd have to explain that if you ever took it to a euro meet 0.o

I've sent out a few texts today to get some prices for the B20 Cometic MLS gasket. The part number for the 0.070" thick one is C4393-070. Plenty of them on ebay for around the $300-$350 mark but I'll let you know if any of my contacts comes back cheaper.

Price mate? These would go well on the middy's car

Awesome. Thanks for the help

$5k would be good money if it was running and wof'd reg'd...

Neither..and the fact that's its different between fl and pre fl would explain why the ones I was looking at on realoem were the same.didnt know there was a difference in belt teeth!
Unfortunately mines an '85 and it seems to be a weird mix of the two :/
Would've thought you'd be able to adjust the tensioner enough to make up for an extra tooth though

Also, aside from the different types of injection, are there differences in these parts between facelift and pfl?
-
These might be noob questions but I can't find answer's solid enough to make me feel comfortable buying this stuff as some of it may come from overseas.
Can anyone confirm if the following are interchangeable between the B20 and B25:
- Timing Belt
- Water Pump
- Tensioner Pulley
- Alternator/Power Steer Belts
- Cam Seal
- Thermostat
Realoem shows the same part numbers for most of these but this is only the second time I've used it so no idea how accurate it is. Main reason for asking is that there's a huge amount of 'timing belt kits' available for the B25 and bugger all for the B20

Black Duck are good. We use Rugged Valley in all our work vehicles and they're great if a little expensive. Few options for materials too if you don't want mental super extra heavy duty 100 year canvas.

needs colour matched bumpers!
Hadn't thought of that but yeah. It totally does.
In the meantime, any pro tips on getting the number plate surrounds, pillars etc back to black?

e90 drophats in e30
in Brakes, Suspension & Steering

I used the factory pads. The e90 drop hats are exactly the same diameter just slightly higher.
It's a wof requirement to have them in there and in good condition but a lazy inspector may not notice they're missing if he/she never saw them there before
Edit: I'll check my parts car for you tonight. They're also on ebay for next to nothing brand new
