Hey guys, selling my pride and joy: Fraulein Claudia, a 1988 318i two door saloon. Details as follows: AlpinWeis 5 speed Manual No power steering NZ new, sold at Shellys. Sunroof Foglights Bottlecap alloys, decent tyres (firestone of some description I think) Small black lip spoiler (factory) 147,000km Really well looked after, good interior with only minor rip in driver seat, tiny dash crack and missing glovebox lock (mechanism works fine) letting it down. Even has a 1980s first aid kit. Also comes with all owners manuals and a Haynes Workshop manual. Untouched tools in factory toolkit. Only selling due to a lifestyle change. Don't ask As original as they come, and being a two door manual with no powersteering, probably as desirable as an E30 318i gets! PM me for any more details, can also take pics of specifics. Cheers, Will

Happy Birthday. Hope you are enjoying the sinful luxuries of the 316i. Still havn't seen it around yet!

I love you too, Nathan

*big, Honda-shaped tumbleweed blows past*
-
basically, tyres with a white facing band which either covers the whole, or just part of the tyre wall.
-
Nope, was just a totally standard coupe W123, white with thin white walls. I guess the E30 isn't as "chromey" as a merc, but all the same, It was a good look. Have seen KOKANE. Rather cool. Reminded me of the Mr Asia days!

I photoshopped. Didn't look too cool. I just saw them on a mint condition Merc W123 coupe, and loved them. I hate the thick whitewalls, I wanted the tiny almost pinstripish ones... Not sure if anyone got what I meant, but there's quite a difference in looks... Anyway, turns out the profile of the tyres isn't really suitable for it, so will be giving it a miss... 15 inch Baskets are on my Birthday wishlist for tomorrow! I was hoping for the 1930s "Cruella De Vil's Car" look more than anything 'gangster'. I'm so famously white and middle class, I thought that Snoop Dog was a cousin of Scooby.

I regard myself as a veritable doyen of good taste, but have become compelled with the idea to fit my E30 with whitewalls. Not the full tyre job ones, mind, but more the 10-20mm strip whitewalls- I will try to post a picture of what I mean. Anyway, I might put this one to poll, after a few comments. Pic of my car, and my current wheels (bottlecaps) on my profile. What do we all think?

Hot, let me know when you get bored with it!
-
Haha. Poor guy. I'm still not going to lower my E30, no matter what he says.
-
...and another!
-
Interior- note glovebox handle missing (mehcanism still works perfectly)- does anyone have a spare? PM me! Note the sexy shade-band windscreen I had installed last week- Bloody Taranaki roads!

I think people want to know how much you paid...how rude!

Competition for the "Mint 318i" trophy! Very nice car, and definitely the coolest trademe ad in a long time.
-
Haha, she is a bit high. Suits the Wellington kerbs nicely though, plus I tow stuff all the time so unfortunately can't do any major lowering jobs! At the moment, I'm in the process of doing cosmetic jobs to make her "Concours" condition. Loving the nana styles of it. Still, If anyone has some SE gear for an e30, I'd be keen!

Nathan mocked my Honda for months. Now he goes and buys one. At least mine was VTEC. I can't believe I made out with him.
-
I got all 26! Welcome to the Hall of Fame! Yusssss
-
Of course I will get 15 inch. 15 inch wheels are the perfect size wheel in my eyes. Glad to hear you plan to keep the 316i. I always thought you were trying to be like me by buying a semi-prestige brand European car.
-
Always up with the priorities Nathie, as usual! I want baskets- an awful lot. You know I share your excellent taste.
-
Like Sparkle said, I want to 'SE' spec it- 15 inch BBS weaves, proper SE body color bumpers and trim etc. Don't see many SE 2 doors, feel like something different fromt he usual M-Tech! Other than that, a 2.7 would be nice, but I'll finish university first!

And the best angle, I think...

And her side...

And here is the rear end

This is my new Fraulein- a 1988 318i 2 door manual saloon. NZ new, very well looked after, and completely standard. Loving her. Factory options are Sunroof, Alloys, Spoiler and Foglights.
