E30 LSD (hopeful I know)

Am on the lookout for an E30 LSD not holding my breath as I know they are getting hard to find. Ratio of 4.10:1 would be nice. Have upgraded my 320 to a 325 goes like stink but a bit hard to get the back end to behave..

so true......can easily name 10+ e30 owners on this board alone wanting (almost needing) an lsd. try moving your battery to the boot...gives a little more weight back there so its not so snappy....you must be loving the difference!

is it really worth the effort... apart from weight... and longer battery life?

its alot of rewiring

I'm first in line for the LSD, not fussed about the Mtec 1.

If you've got a black headliner, i'll take it. And gearbox if it's a dogleg c/r. DIBBS on all these bits.

I've given up, i'm, just going to buy an E30 with one already.

4.1:1 diff is a mission, and I HAVE ONE!!!! but i might be able to help out with 3.7:1 units

expect to pay 500min. i have a few contacts in the states and canada.

at the mo:

E36 3.38:1 LSD US$900 + p&p (band new)

5 series incl 525 & 535 89-95 103,000 miles US$200 +p&p

M5 95' 3.73LSD US$500 + p&p

why don't you buy my car (e30 325 lsd 5 speed, 4 door), swap diff and sell it again!!! Diff is quiet, car is fast. And it goes SIDEWAYS.

Far out, a 4.1 diff would SUCK in a 325. 1st gear would to go 40 kph.. 2nd to like 80 !

LOL mine does 70k in 1st & 120k in 2nd with the trusty ole 3.46:1 open diff

hmmm....just its quite a long gearing.....car woulda felt pretty slow with the m20? i know my car does and ive got a 3.63

Your forgetting he has the supra gearbox which is what is messing up his ratio.

The supra box isn't too different (ratio wise) than the old getrag box, 1:1 4th etc...

No, dreams are free though, the 6spd's usually go for $4-6k, what a rip!!!

It's not really going at the mo, no brakes/suspension/wheels/tyres :(
