topcat 11 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa128/red535t/ engine; e34 block (early) Hartge few scratches in 2 of the bores.but used it as the holes were straight and not much wear measured. pistons; kept the originals 9.0- compression' a few markes but hey it was cheap. new rings-nothing fancy/new bearings shells/seals MSL gasket -25% thicker then standard head off a e32;stripped and reasembled by shop.best of what i had in the parts bins(valves, rockers) reground cam shaft. apparently a little more angle(?) revy?? new timing chain-slotted front sprocket,TDC perfect. after the engine was reasembled i fitted a m5 paddle clutch and dropped it back in the hole.clocked up 1000 odd k's before removing the exhaust /manifold and started fitting up the bits 42lb injectors-cheers TCD 38mm wategate cheers TCD Turbo-t61 100mm intake.T4 hotside think i'll get a beany for the hot bit-it glows HKS 100 filter pod for the front of its mouth to keep birds and small children being sucked in to it. 2.5' exchaust from begining to end with 1 coby and 1 3' muffler at the end. had it running with the old loom/ecu and it wasnt too loud but has lost the bmw 'burble' intercooler sourced overseas (which i bring into the country, one of which is now on trademe). frontmounted 18'x12' radiator still to come to cool all the hot stuff down 3 VDO sender units for the usual info-oil pressure/water temp/boost.looking to fit a small/tidy digital display sum where in the dash looking to re-wire a e34 loom into the bay.looks a heap more tidier.and then an ecu.looking to go with a EMS 8860 system. keep stock ignition at this stage this is 4 months of on/off mucking round in the shed has produced cheers marty
