rhiannon 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2007 On a south african e30 325 the obc back light for the display isn't working and there is an unattached yellow wire coming out the back of it. What does this wire do? and is it related to the back light display not workin? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
Andrew 30 Report post Posted June 24, 2007 Maybe nothing - but it's not uncommon for the bulbs to go. They can easily be replaced with LEDs if you do a bit of V=IR and what out what LEDs/Resistors to get.
will 169 Report post Posted June 24, 2007 Yellow wire has nothing to do with lights. You will need to replace the bulbs. This should show you how to do it with replacement bulbs, can be done with LED's but you will have to figure it out what resistance to use. Think you should sticky this Andrew..?
