Things to look for on an E36

Recommended Posts

Going to look at a few E36's tonight and was just wonderng if theres anything I should be looking out for.

All are 6 cylinders bar one which is a 318i manual, and are all newer than 1994.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Ashkan

Standard stuff...

Oil in water (expansion tank), water in oil (oil filler cap)

Dodgey repairs (missing screws, broken brackets, etc...)

Push every button to make sure they all work I guess?

Hope this link might help...

If your serious about one, get it checked.

They can be a very expensive car if you dont know

what to look for come service / warrent time.

Quite keen on a 318 manual.

It doesn't have a FSH but has most of it there including new engine at 90xxx kms.

How much JMJ? PM me!

dont be put off by high kms if its in good condition... my 95 320is done 270, 000kms with no problems and still goes mint.

try find a 6 cylinder manual they go way harder than the autos

VANOS is way more fun

Manual is better, word. But costs much more!

VANOS Auto goes alright when foot is floored (like a black man wit two cops on him) in "sports change" mode.

New Whip = 1995 E36 318i with three badass pedals.

Such a pansy compared to my old car but still badass.I like it.

Pics up tommorow I guess.

Cheers for the help
