Hi there, Im based in Thailand and I think Teins are excellent but over priced. Was looking at these K-Sport ones that are available in the US but been reading mixed reviews on them. Also, I haven't seen anyone making strut replacements for the E30 as we have inserts? Anyone have coilovers on these E30, if so how did they do it? Let me know what you think? THanks, Kish

CamB 48 Report post Posted January 30, 2008 You seem to have access to good fabrication, so you could get the E30 struts converted to coilover (a threaded sleeve for 2.5" springs is welded onto the strut, the inserts are replaced with shorter ones, and a suitable 2.5" that is used. This page shows what gets done (yes, I know it is a Fiat): http://www.mirafiori.com/~courtney/128/tech/coilover.html
kish 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2008 Hi there, Thanks for the help guys. I have actually already made my own coilovers but I couldnt find good quality springs and the ride is not that great. Thats why I was looking for something else. Bellow are some pictures of my current struts on my E30. Kish
