my 325i project

Recommended Posts

hey guys, as you know my old e30 manual 325i had seen better days

(fences, parking lots, tail gaters, wreckless parties etc)

so i was lining up a decent shell to do a transplant, still a shame to see the old shell go

but never the less

look what i picked up for $200, and no it wasnt dereged

will keep posting pictures on the progress, probably get some photos of the interior, as the previous dash caught on fire so im doing a rewire job, and hood lining miracle hah.

in the beginning god created . . . . . . e30s ?

and he said

let there be, LEAKS

sunroof leaking majorly, but untill i can get it open that was the least of my worries

leaking through many parts in the fire wall

e.g. where the clutch master cylinder is going through the firewall, seal wasnt put in correctly

got some sealant and went crazy

the whole right side of the car was drenched !

i squeezed a liter of water out, and the rest was drained

you go a bit loopy when you get an engine out with a crap selection of tools, and a sloping unstable drive way

so i took some pics any way, going for the starsky and hutch feel, maybe even titanic, to look back on my progress one day

if any one was jealous or envious of my cheap mint condition e30, never fear, with all good projects, some thing is bound to go wrong, and due to some ones steering errors, my diver side door has been seriously demented, (wont open, or close) other than that, engine went in alright.

just thought id update some people on that
