4.0L v8 into a 94 530i V8 shell

hi , i have a 1994 e34 530i v8 . motor has been cooked . and has been removed with trans etc .

looking at fitting a 4l v8 from a e34 540i . but just need to know about the security key code stuff .

if i buy the motor it will come with teh matching ecu's and engine loom .

but there is no key with the kit as teh car was burnt out .

but might have teh option on a ecu froma earlier e32 740i with no coded key . will that ecu work and just plug and play in teh 94 e34 , or will the coded stuff in my car not work with it .

Considered chipping it? Isn't there a few suppliers US side that have a by-pass to this annoyance?
