JiB 2 Report post Posted May 18, 2008 Best motoring is choice! Try find the M5 vs Lambo's and stuff at Fuji if you can. That one was pure car porn! Hmm, the 135i drivers were complaining about understeer on entry and oversteer on exit? That's not promising....The suspension setup on the tuned 135i was hot though And wow, the 350Z really tore away! Was a Nismo version...but still, less power than the M3 and cheaper too. Amazing, pity they're not the most inspiring to drive. The poor S2000 (which was ruined by all the bits) was out of it's league! NA 2.2 vs 3.5+? Yuen 16 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 I'll have to look for the episode you mention... you understand Japanese? The 135i is bloody quick, I wonder if the tuned version is being sold or just some promo thing - it's not some tii variant is it?
drifty325i 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 I think the new m3 is awesome! but to be honest its just not fast enough by today's standards imo.
JiB 2 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 The M3 was never really meant to compete with supercars though...See? As for the fuji one, I have it on disc I can try upload it somewhere. The V10 M5 is definitely a match for supercars. Well, not hypercars, just good old fashion supercars. As for Japanese, ya I learnt it at school went to Japan and was pretty fluent....then stopped learning it and promptly forgot 99.9% of it haha.

I would agree, looked like it had real trouble getting by the 135i at the back of the pack. You can't really tell how much he was giving it (Nanna driver?), but you'd still expect a "M" car to deal to it without much effort. Well I would for the $$$ you pay. Apex 693 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 From my scientific Gran Turismo 5 test driving facility, the 135i is not far behind an m3 on a medium speed circuit. I too question how good some of the drivers are in these tests as there are some shocking results! The Tii is a basically styling exercise, its is mechanically the same as the 135i although it is lighter thanks to a baron interior and frugal options. JiB 2 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 I too question how good some of the drivers are in these tests as there are some shocking results! The two most experienced drivers are in the BMW's. Keiichi Tsuchiya in the tuned 135i (Le Mans class winner, GT300, GT500, Formula 3, JGTC Grp A Champ) Naoki Hattori in the M3 (Formula 3 Champion, JGTC Champion) Most of the other drivers are new faces from GT300/500 and JGTC. The 350z didn't have much tussling to do, so it's lines etc would have been uninterrupted letting it pull ahead. If you have a look at the end, the M3 posts a slightly faster laptime than the 350z. The 350z is not really standard though, it's a Nismo edition...similar to an M car? But Best Motoring races are not the best way of comparing cars, the time attacks and fastest laps are probably better.

drifty325i 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 The funny thing is though is the 350z still uses the factory Nissan engine no mods at all, its only aero and interior mods
m325i 711 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 I'd pay download so much if Best Motoring was dubbed/subtitled. Why isn't there some open source project, there are enough fans? BMI is too thin on releases. (Also Hotversion FTW)
