100km per litre car

VW have a new concept vehicle they say will do 100 kms per litre (235 mpg) which they say will gom into production in 2010.

I think the VW was Ferdinand Peich's baby right before he retired. Doesn't explain why it is so ugly though.

From memory the Tesla is based on the Lotus Elise - so looks like sex on wheels, and you would hope it corners on rails too. Got to love that torque curve from 0 rpm!!

How expensive will it be though. Carbon fibre, titanium and alluminium arnt exactly cheap.... It wont have a market because the rich people wont buy it because its so ugly and the poor people wont be able to afford it.
