Edit- cantwork the link thing, if an admin can fix would be helpful lol ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...rksid=p3907.m32
Mike 1 Report post Posted June 15, 2008 (edited) have a look here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=15593 pretty much same deal as that thread. link should be fine if it can do vanos, some quick numbers suggest you'd be looking at over $6K easy to get it over here, replace the rubbish bits in that kit, get more bits made up (downpipe, exhaust, random mounts) ECU, and labour. if you were brave enough to put 10psi through it you might get 250hp at the crank. ecko_complex 3 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 My honest advice would be: don't do it. Turboing my car cost well over 15 grand and it spent 6 months in the shop. And that was all with discounts from friends and labour halved. The worst part is I've still got to spend another 4 grand to put a properly ECU in it and get it tuned and running properly. Do what Riley did and put a V8 in it, or an SR20DET. If you really have your heart set on turboing the engine in it I can recommend a lot of places in chch that really know their stuff that did work on my car. I even have a turbo exhaust manifold lying around that I will sell cheap .
