I'm retired Dave <_<

Obviously repairing BMW's is a very lucrative occupation if you can afford to retire at your age Glenn.

(Unlike selling them)

Like the look of this one, any idea what the faults would cost to have fixed?

1996 525i

Looks like a tidy example with low k's and a good price for an E39!

However, it's reasonably low spec: 16 inch alloys, cloth trim etc. If you are leaving it as is, it might be an idea to pay a bit more for an example with leather, and the nicer 17 inch alloys. If you want to lower it and put huge rims on it, then I guess that doesn't matter. ;)

As for the issues with the car - Glenn can chime in here if he wants - if you can hear the motor buzzing in the window but the window isn't going down then it may just be that the window has come off it's runners and needs re-seating. Not too sure about the aircon problem, so I won't offer any suspect advice! :D

Also, those headlight lenses will need cleaning eventually... gross-looking and you could also fail a warrant cos your lights won't be at their optimum brightness.
