Looking good mate. Care to give us a brief rundown of future plans and a bit more info about what you've done?

Thats some pretty extensive body work you have done there, I reken most of it works so far except the "v8" letters in the grill. There a little too dominating on the front like that. imo.

Will be cool to see this finished Keep us posted.

Wow what a big project you got going, lots of custom stuff your doing, never an easy task!

Although I must say I agree with what someone else said above the the V8 lettering is a little overkill makes the front end look a little too 'busy'.

All and all I'll look forward to seeing the end result.

Looking good mate. Care to give us a brief rundown of future plans and a bit more info about what you've done?

So far I have completely stripped under side of car and suspension, cleaned and repainted under side of car, and suspension.

Rebushed suspension. New shocks, lower springs, disk brakes, brakes and bearings.

Taken old stuffed motor out. Stripped, cleaned, repainted engine bay, cleaned and painted another low km motor,

painted drive shaft, and diff.

Shaped top of old bonnet, made mould of top and underside, made a copy and glued together to make the bonnet.

Sprayed old mudguards with foam, shaped and smoothed out, made moulds, and made copys.

same with front bumper and grille.

Taken me a year so far. Next is widen rear mudgards and side skirts, back bumper, spoiler, paint it,

M3 mirrors. Hopefully be on road in April

That's a sh*t load of work you have done there and I think the end result will look good. Others have hinted at the V8 letters in the grill, so I'm going to repeat... - please please please get rid of them. No matter how good the end result, the V8 in the grill will ruin it.

Thank you for your comments, but you will have to see when the grill is finished and painted and it wont stand out then. Thanks

I'm keen to see the rear bumper, I think if it will look a lot better once on and matching the front end of the car, I don't like seeing cars going round with massive front bumpers/splitters then the rear of the car is standard, looks so wrong, good to see you are completing the whole project before painting and driving it.

Finally an update. Started painting bits of the car this weekend. Hopefully by the end of March, it should be on the road, shame that I wont be able to come on the road trip 26th January.

Just wondering what preparation you did before undercoating the car?

Looks very nice!

wet end dry 600, 800, 1200, clean with thinners and undercoat, leave for a week to harden up and than wet and dry it again. :o

thanks Dutchy

Bonnet goes to the front, doors go in appropriate holes and boot lid to the rear, hope that helps, just shout out if ya need more assistance haha.

I'm sure it'll all come back when you start assembling. Can't wait to see the finished product. You keeping the same wheels?

Guest Simon*

Can I be cheeky and ask what you're planning to do with those current wheels once you've put the Enkeis on? ;)

Awesome job by the way - it's gonna be a head turner
